On 10/24/23 I paid a down payment of $3000 dollars for a remodel to my home by Chieftain Remodeling, LLD. This included the removal of tile out of the kitchen and replacing with vinyl, repair of drywall, painting, finishing trim and moving a kitchen island. At the end $4500 would be paid. I have pictures documenting the damage the inflicted to my home. I have paint on my furniture both indoors and outdoors, paint on the trim, floors and concrete. I have a kitchen cabinet drawer damaged while doing the remodel. I also have damage to the gas stove and had to have a repair person come in and pay $200 to replace the gas line damaged from the company stretching the gas line instead of removing the line. I also had to pay a plumbing company over $1500 to come and repair the plumbing the company cut out because they told me I had mold from a leak. The company cut out the air vent so my drains in the kitchen sink and dishwasher would not drain. They charged me an additional $950 dollars for the plumbing. The plumber told me it was gray water not mold. I have paint on my concrete sidewalks, porch and parking pad were they cleaned their paint brushed and the owners children painted on my porch and sidewalks. The company failed to place a barrier on the kitchen doors while removing the tile causing extensive dust throughout the entire house which full in depth cleaning which I have worked on for over 2 weeks. When I contacted the owner he said if I wasn't satisfied with the work why did I pay him. He has ended all communication and has not made any effort to rectify the situation. He took base board up in the kitchen and did not replace. I have photos of all damage and conversations but was unable to upload for review.Business response

Attached are a small portion of the tasks we completed at Ms. ******* residence, we tore up existing Tile, backerboard Thin set & Linoleum, installed new LVT flooring 400 sq. Ft. patched holes, painted entire main floor, moved existing island closer too sink, fixed flooring in living room, fixed leak in drain under sink which in order too move island had too be done. I received a deposit of $3,000, and purchased the floor, 5 gallons of paint, drywall mud, tape paid $222 of the dumpster rental Ms. ******* paid the other $400.00 in a total I spent close too $2,000.00 on all necessary materials too do her job. During the process Ms. ******* was present the whole time any issues came about I made her aware of them immediately. All of this being said Ms. ******* nor myself never signed the contract it was sent too her for her too sign with me when I arrived but never was. I've offered too come fix anything possible too please her but I've been turned down. At the end of the job we walked over everything we checked her sink we looked over the floor the paint she didnt give me any feedback of any of the named damages at that time i wasnt contacted for 3 weeks after we completed. She was pleased with everything we did and we were paid the remainder of the agreed amount. The issues she has brought too my attention are all minor little paint on concrete outside and a chair that can be cleaned off, and cracks in the drywall that were existing before I mudded them with drywall mud and sanded and she said that was okay. There was paint on the trim and we went over the entire floor on the main level with acetone and brushes and were able to get it cleaned up and we showed her this at that time. She's requesting a refund for the entire amount I was paid, without any evidence that what we were hired too do wasn't completed at that time. We were paid too fix a leak under her sink that we noticed when we moved her island forward, in her crawl space was full of stagnant water, grey water and mold damage to the bottom of her sink base and sub floor. I have high definition videos of this as well. Her complaints are not with the floor we installed, the paint we provided or the island we moved, only with the plumbing which wasn't leaking even three weeks later. I've consistently offered too fix the small issues brought too my attention that were not necessarily our wrong doing. I've been slandered, insulted and ran through the mud she's contacted my family, posted on Facebook and had her family drive by my home. I posted the job when it was completed and received compliments and Ms. ******* told her sister terrain she should contact me for a estimate during this process why would someone do that for work they didn't appreciate. Any further questions or concerns can be answered and any proof of anything I've mentioned. Thank you for you time.Customer response
