I have had great communication with ***** and his team. From the start was very fast texting and setting up an appointment for a quote. Came in less than three days. Priced out and given a fair price, then was able to work me in earlier than expected (was very happy about this). Communication was good as to when to expect his crew and the names of the ones showing up. Was told what to do to prep the room. I am paying for my floors to be redone not a mover, so I expected to do this myself. He did offer help if needed. They showed up on time every day and completed the task beautifully. My floors in my house are from 1929 and they are gorgeous now. ***** checked in everyday and came the last two days to do the finish work and asked about his crew. I think they were all professional and pleasant and called me when I asked them to. I have asked lots of questions and have been given answers immediately. We disposed of the trash, but it was garbage day, and it was no big deal. I am sure they would have taken it if we asked. Communication is key and ***** and crew are good at that and restoring my hardwood floors.

I wrestled with whether or not to post this. My floors turned out, by and large, beautifully and look brand new, but the way ***** handled my concerns and the sloppy work his contractor did have left me with dozens of hours of extra work on my hands. I hired them to refinish my ***tair rooms, hallway, and stairway. The workers stashed as much furniture as they could in my ***tairs bath, and in the process, dinged the walls and scuffed a brand new paint job. They also badly nicked up my staircase in the process of moving things, chipping the paint.***** and his senior refinisher were there on the first few days, but I understand that most of the work afterwards was carried out by a less-experienced guy. No painter's tape was used to protect the toe kicks or baseboards. That meant that the surrounding wood was damaged and ~70% of my baseboard toe kicks are covered with a sloppy layer of stain, as well as my antique nickel fireplace front and a marble transition strip into the bathroom. Try as I might, I still haven't been able to get either stain out. These could have easily been prevented with appropriate prep work.They left three super heavy contractor bags full of sawdust on my lawn, forcing me to attempt to lift them into my garbage bin.I told ***** to avoid disturbing the risers on my stairs as the base layer was lead paint. I came back to dust literally everywhere. No surfaces had been wiped down and it was a total disaster area. I have a history of cancer, and said I couldn't risk lead contamination. ***** said he never offers clean-*** but would make an exception for me after I stood my ground. To his credit, he brought over cleaners who meticulously scrubbed every surface, but I shouldn't have had to push so hard in the first place. Again, they did a magnificent job with the floors, but were sloppy with prep work, stain application, and cleanup. For $5k, I expected far better service.
