      Their billing system is made to confuse people, trying to charge you two months instead of one. Their customer service is rude, they are aware of the type of confusing system and they do not tell the truth. Another issue, THEY DO NOT ISSUE AN INVOICE. As a customer, there is no way to receive an invoice they issue a statement with no invoice number. It's a shame that a company behaves that way.

      Thank you for the review of MCTV. We apologize if your recent invoice is confusing – that is not our intent. With eStatement invoicing, you receive a monthly email with a link that takes you to the customer portal where you can view and print your invoices. Your account number is listed at the top of the invoice as well as in the bottom portion. It has been our policy since 1965 (when we started our service) to send an invoice to be due the first of the month. You have the whole month to pay without any penalties – late charges apply on the 5th of the following month. For example, January’s invoice is due on January 1, but you have the whole month in which to pay and your account would not be charged a late fee until February 5 if you have not already paid for January’s service. This policy is similar to other utility companies, such as phone companies – they charge for the services for the upcoming month. This is in no way meant to confuse our customers and our representatives are available to help. In regards to the level of customer service you received, we have reviewed the calls and our trainer will work with the representatives to ensure they are offering the best customer care to everyone. Again, we apologize for any misunderstanding this has caused. Please call our office if you have any other questions.

      We live is a rural community with VERY limited access to high speed internet, and cell phone service. Which are both necessities now, rather than nonessential. We called for service on 7/12/23 because of an issue with THEIR fiber line. We were told the EARLIEST we could expect a tech was a full week from then. This is inexcusable from an ISP in 2023, even more so from one in an area with VERY limited choices. People are pigeon hole’d into using companies like MCTV because there is no viable alternative. As soon as we are able to get an option for a reliable company we will be switching. I’d advise EVERYONE to do the same. Absolutely unacceptable.

When we received notice of this, we were able to dispatch a technician as quickly as possible and it looks like your service was restored on Friday afternoon.       Dear ************ Thank you for your message regarding the cost of cable service. I agree that the cost has gotten out of hand and we are working to try to change things. Allow me to explain what is happening in the cable TV industry today.Most of the networks we carry are owned by about seven major corporations. When we make carriage agreements with these corporations, not only do they want all or most of their networks on the same level of service, but they also want to be carried on the same level as their competitors. So, if we are negotiating with ************ we have to continue carrying their networks (***************** *******, *****, *********** ******) on the same tier of service AND that level of service has to be comparable with any of their competing networks (*** ******, ***********, for example). Then there are the yearly rate increases for every single channel we carry almost all of the yearly increases goes directly to programming costs. It gets to be very aggravating and we are trying to fight this as much as we are able to. MCTV belongs to the **************************, or ****, a lobbying group that goes to ************** to talk to members of Congress and the *** on the outdated rules that cable has in place. We are making strides, but we still have a long way to go.I hope this helps to better understand the situation in which we find ourselves. We are at the mercy of the cable programmers. That also goes for the content. MCTV does not control any programming on the television channels. All programming is controlled by the networks themselves so regardless of what provider youd have (MCTV, ********, *******, etc.), the programming is the same. I understand your frustration with the way the networks show repeats and many reality-based programs. These networks are not exclusive to MCTV you would see the same exact shows regardless of what company provides you with your entertainment services MCTV, *******, ******* or another cable company.I hope this helps to better explain the situation.       sorry it took me so long to get back to you on this had a busy week end. i understand about the programming content. the channels running the same thing over and over is aggravating and there's nothing can be done about that. but i also think MCTV is running a monopoly here in ******* because they are the only choice you have other then satellite and them don't work well in bad weather. so you are stuck with rising prices. and for me they want 70.00$ just for basic cable. that is not with in my budget.
