What a complete rip off. The guy came over for an hour cut off nine limbs from the tree.He charged $575.00.What a joke. After he was questioned about the job not quite being done. He became defensive and said he was done. The gentleman had no ambition to make it right. The reason he gave was the guys were down from the tree and not going back up.He could’ve spent another hour and made it right. I wouldn’t advise doing business with this service. Not sure what the guy was thinking?Business response

Thank you for the opportunity to address the statement made regarding our recent services. We value feedback and appreciate the concerns that were mentioned. We understand how there may be frustration regarding the job and the communication with our owner between the party that received the quote compared to the individual that was home when the job was completed.
Upon reviewing our agreement, I can confirm that the crew fulfilled all aspects as outlined in the scope of work on our quote/invoice (#****) that was provided in the amount stated above to the customer. It is clearly stated that our tree climber would “trim the locust tree off of the house, and provide a full clean-up” of the debris from the trimming. Our crew completed that work as requested at the agreed upon price. Once completed, our climber descended from the tree and the crew began clean-up of remaining debris and tools. At that point, the owner of our company connected with wife that was home and at that time she requested additional work to be completed that was not originally discussed or part of the scope of work. Our owner explained and confirmed our crew completed what was pointed out and requested at the time the quote was provided and stated that work was completed as agreed upon. The crew was packed up to proceed to the remaining jobs for that day. That communication was not received well by the wife, although the scope of work quoted was complete as approved by the customer. When additional work is requested, our owner provides a quote at that time that can be completed on another day if customer choses to approve and move forward. Unfortunately, the wife was not interested in another quote at that time.
While we have met the agreed-upon terms of this agreement, we would still like to ensure your satisfaction. We can offer a discount on a future trimming service of 10% to help improve your experience moving forward. Thank you again for your feedback. We value you as a customer and look forward to continuing to work together.

The agreement that I had with Anytime Tree was a verbal, never had a contract. The day the gentleman came over to give me an estimate we had talked about cutting the entire tree down. He explained to me the tree was not dead. It could be trimmed, and therefore, I wouldn’t have to worry about it for a couple of years. he then explained that the charge would be $575 to trim the tree. He also said he would be over between one and six weeks to complete the job. Almost 2 1/2 months later the company called and said they were coming over to do the job.
After being here for almost an hour and completing 25% of the tree. The gentleman explained to my wife he was done. He asked her are you going to write me a check? There was never any request from my wife for additional services. She just questioned the completeness of the job.

Upon reviewing our agreement, I can confirm that the crew fulfilled all aspects as outlined in the scope of work on our quote/invoice that was provided (#**** attached) to the customer. Our owner explained and confirmed our crew completed what was quoted and stated that work was completed as agreed upon. Tree climbing, roping out, cutting limbs, and lower them down in a safe way is a dangerous occupation. It’s one of the top 4 most risky industries in the country. The crew completed the removal of limbs as quoted and approved for completion by the customer.
While we have met the agreed-upon terms of this agreement, we would like to offer a discount on a future trimming service of 10% to help improve the experience moving forward. Thank you again for your attention to this matter. We value our customer feedback and look forward to continuing to work together.Business response

Our quoting process always includes a written quote on our quote/invoice that states our terms, quote number, date of quote, company information and description of work quoted along with price. I did exclude a copy of the quote provided to the customer on the intitial complaint (in my error). I have attached the quote that was provided. The customer is correct regarding the time line, it did take our crew time to be able to arrive to complete the work. We did call that day to confirm it was not an issue for our crew to be onsite and the wife was thrilled we could get it taken care of that day. When discussing the scope of work with her while on site she stated that they had lost the written quote we had provided. As a professional tree trimming and removal company, we always provide written quotes. It's also good business practice so that each party understands the scope of work. If a tree is in good health, aside from storm damage or disease, we recommend that trees not be removed. Trimming provides maintenance and care for a healthy tree. That is not an uncommon practice for our company to suggest a tree not be removed if it is not necessary.
