Bought Wiseco piston kit #*****. Kit requires boring/honing engine cylinders to accommodate new pistons and rings. After honing cylinders to the specs that came in the kit(.002” greater than the piston skirt dimension to provide clearance), I ended up with excessive piston ring gap. The ring gap specs included in the kit is .0176”. Took the rings in the kit out of the package and measured the gap which turned out to be.022” and is unacceptable for an expensive piston kit. Contacted ********, the ring manufacturer, who stated the rings were engineered for a 3.5175” bore. Wiseco’s piston is 3.5165 wide and requires .002” clearance so that I ended up with a 3.5185 bore after honing and that is what’s causing the excessive gap. Called Wiseco who stated the gap was acceptable up to .030”. If there were no other option, I would have had to live with that. But ******** has replacement rings that will fix the problem, plus I need to go with the specs that came with the kit. Wiseco refused to furnish me with these rings, so I was forced to purchase them on my own in the amount of $71.26 from ********** ***** *** ******** ************, in Michigan. I am seeking reimbursement for the purchase and we’ll forget this ever happened. Thank you!Business response

Wiseco responded to my original complaint and agreed to resolve the issue and would contact me if I would permit them to do so, or I could contact Ron *****s. I agreed to their response and have not heard back from them.Regards,
