Here is the history of the issues with Day Height Auto in Milford, OH regarding services performed on my **** **** ******* since the Check Engine Light first came on: 1. Low Pressure Fuel Pump and Fuel Filter were replaced by Day Heights Auto on 12/16/2022 on Invoice ****** $622.16 which includes a 3 year warranty 2. On Nov 2nd, 2023, I had noticed the Check Engine Light (CEL) Pushing out ***** code -“Low Fuel Pressure Regulation: Fuel Pressure Outside Specification”-, ***** scanner. Channel 106 in the scanner, (LPFP) registered a “duty cycle” between 70% at idle up to 90% peak during acceleration, Audi suggests it to be 50-60 during idle. LPFP is working too hard to keep up with the fuel demand from the engine with a *****. 3. On Invoice ****** dated 12/8/23, Replaced the High Pressure Fuel Pump. Didn't correct the ***** for “Low Fuel Pressure Regulation: fuel Pressure Outside Specification” Day Heights Auto suggested that the Valve Cover Gasket be replaced. They also went on to say that the Coil Pack connectors were broken and needed to be repaired. The total amount for parts and labor came to a grand total of $2002.86. On the invoice, there was mention once again about having a code issue with an electronic motor mount, but Day Heights Auto never provided that code number. Again, my request to honor the warranty on the Low Pressure Fuel Pump replacement fell on deaf ears and was still throwing the ***** errors not long after I had picked up the vehicle. 4. On Invoice ****** dated 12/14/23, Day Height Auto swapped around a few of my Spark Plug Coil Packs stating that it took care of the misfires as well as a Throttle Body cleaning which ended up costing me an additional $326.54. 5. I should be refunded on all labor charges related to the High Pressure Fuel Pump, Coil Packs, connectors to the coils packs, throttle body cleaning including the parts mentioned in item 10 as well as the Low Pressure Fuel Pump since that was never replaced as requested.Business response

I am filing a complaint against Day Heights Auto for the substandard repair of my vehicle. The car has been with them since late October, and the repair process has resulted in significant personal and financial distress. 1.Substandard Repair Work: Post an engine swap by Day Heights Auto, there have been multiple issues, including incorrect ECM parts leading to delays. When assessed by an Infiniti dealership, the car was in poor condition with missing parts, loose wires, and some electrical components exposed to water. 2. Financial and Professional Impact: This extended repair time has forced me to change jobs and incur substantial costs on rental cars. I was provided a loaner only a month ago, adding to my burden. 3. Warranty and Repair Issues: Day Heights Auto claims the current issues are beyond their scope, despite being responsible for the engine replacement and wiring. The warranty company indicates that Day Heights should handle these repairs as the engine is under their 12-month/12,000-mile warranty. 4. Advice Against Vehicle Use: The General Manager of Day Heights Auto has advised against using the vehicle due to improper acceleration, despite declaring the repair 'complete.' 5. Responsibility for Further Repairs: I now have to pay for five hours of labor at Infiniti for diagnosing the issues, due to the condition left by Day Heights Auto. I seek the BBB’s assistance to have Day Heights Auto acknowledge their service failures, take responsibility for the poor state of repairs, and cover the costs for rectifying the damage to my vehicle. Thank you for addressing this matter. I can upload any requested docs, there are many. Sincerely, ********Business response

We have been in communication with Mr. ****** we are towing his vehicle to the Infiniti Dealership for further diagnostics. We have completed the repairs and have spent thousands of extra dollars on additional parts to try to rectify the situation out of our pocket. We collected no payment for any of the repairs from Mr. ****** we only collected a payment from the After Warranty Company for partial payment on the invoice at this time. We accept complete responsibility of the issues with the vehicle if that is what is found by the Infiniti Dealership, we are in no way trying to shift liability or blame to any one else, we are just not sure of the remaining problems cause at this point. The vehicle came into our facility not starting, so we have no real idea of the history of the vehicle, how it ran before it was brought to us or anything, so we are just trying to get some help to find the route cause of the further problems. We will continue to be in touch with Mr ***** and he is still in our provided loaner vehicle as of today. Thank you for your help in this matter.
