On 02/04/2024 we visited this store to purchase a prom dress. As we were at the register to purchase the dress the cashier began acting very strangely. We were one of 2 African American families in the store. The bring the African American manager out to advise that the dress was sold already, which was really confusing since my daughter had literally just taken the dress off. They advised that they share inventory with another location and they hit the button first! The manager went on to say that the manufacturer did not have any of my daughter's size available, however, they could order the next size up and it would be a simple alteration. They even provided a list of seamstresses, one of which we selected to use. Well low and behold there was nothing simple about the alterations and it is costing me over half the price of the dress. I contacted the store and they tried to then blame the issue on the seamstress that they recommended I use. The entire staff has been extremely rude and even threatened to call the authorities if I called back. SO basically once they screw you over, they refuse to speak with you or provide the owners name or contact info. This was a complete rip off!!!Customer response

I ordered a new dress on March 12 after trying on the size 12. I did not purchase the floor sample as there were visible defects and special ordered the Yellow dress in a size 12. On March 31st I received a phone call telling me the wrong size dress came in. The dress that came in was a size 2 and not the 12. They refused to give me a refund. I went to the store on April 2nd as my daughter has prom and had to get a yellow dress due to her date already having purchased his ataire for prom. The store clerk was rude and kept talking to someone behind the door. The manager refused to come out. They again refused to refund my money and told me my only option was a 15% off the damaged floor sample. Also the FTC says that even if Henris has the policy that says “When purchasing merchandise from Henri's web site and/or physical store locations, you will be asked to read, understand, and agree to the return policy as follows: we do not accept returns, allow exchanges, offer store credits, or issue refunds of any kind. Due to the seasonality and delicate nature of our merchandise, all sales are final.” they still have to refund you. Per the FTC, by law, companies can’t send unordered merchandise to you, then demand payment. Also, The Consumer Rights Act states that items must be ‘as described’. I did not receive the item I ordered and purchased therefore they broke their own policy. So they should of provided a full refund including shipping since they did not they are breaking the law. I did not receive the right dress and they made me take the floor sample and gave me a 15% discount. They refused to order a new dress with expedited shipping and they refused to give me a full refund. Their supposed contract became null and void when they ordered the wrong size dress.Customer response

I filed a complaint already. While yes they did have a no refund policy. When ordering the dress it was stated the dress would ship on 1/7. I even called the store to confirm which the did. When 1/7 came and gone I started to call to see when it would. They had no idea. I did request a refund where they then stated they WOULD ONLY refund me if I removed a negative review. It is now 2/14 with no ship date when they told me in January it would be shipping next week....A month later still not shipped. My wear date is in two weeks, and they kept assuring me it would be here in time. Still NOTHING. My bank is not returning the money bc it was paid through ********* So 800 dollars spent, no dress and no refund....I get no refund if the dress is actually shipped...
