I contracted Scott Rods to build me a 1932 ford fiberglass roadster body on 3/23/2022. I sent them a check half down payment of 4,125 with the balance of 4,125 due upon completion, total 8,250. The sales agreement was to complete the job in early November. In the beginning ***** was the sales lady i did email correspondence with, she assured me after talking to ***** that the early November date was good. I did all the correspondence with ***** through email and text, I have to say the communication between me and the business was terrible as time went on. I stayed in touch with them at least once a month making sure everything was on track, ***** would talk to ***** and either ***** would call me ensuring me everything was good with early November, I started to worry at the end of October, I requested pictures and assurance and didn't receive anything until after I requested to cancel my order if they couldn't meet our agreement. After that I received pictures of a body with no correspondence its done Im ready to ship it. Nothing so started requesting a refund after the 15th of November, ***** called me and said he would authorize ***** to send me a check, after two weeks went by I asked to see if they had sent the check with no response, After another week went by I sent another text to Scott saying i didn't appreciate being lied to and he said the check had been sent two ago, but he never gave me a check number or a copy. So I am filing this claim because I feel Im being taken advantage of.Customer response
