      Hired the company on 8/9/2023 to cut down 1 tree and top off another. Company started work, but did not finish. Did not pay any money thus far, but am in a contract with company and want company to finish the job.

      my staff has been in touch with *** and will be calling him again today to schedule to get the rest of his project Finished up. He has been very very patient and we greatly appreciate that. we would’ve finished it the following day, but there was rain in the forecast and he had requested us not to return as he did not want any yard damage which we respected, and following that he did have to go out of town for a little bit as well as us, so it kind of got put on the back burner, but at the end of the day we will get this all taken care of as tom is a returning customer and we want nothing but for him to be fully satisfied with our services

      In September 2022 I hired Moyer's Tree Service to remove a tree in my backyard and remove all of the wood. I mentioned that a neighbor might want some of the wood if it was sawed into suitable chunks. ***** ***** approached a neighbor who apparently said he wanted some of the wood. I was asked to pay for the work in full after a substantial part of the work was done and I did so on September 30, 2022. A few days after Moyer's crew left I noticed that about 7 feet of intact trunk was still in my backyard. When Moyer's did not return or contact me for about a week I called them and left a message. I continued to call and get no response for weeks. Finally ***** ***** called and explained the tree trunk had grown around a piece of metal and caused their chainsaw to break. He stated that the trunk would be removed that week. The work was not done that week or at any time thereafter. Moyer's did not contact me. By this time it was October or even November. Other things in my life had a higher priority in my life than hounding this business to complete their work, and I didn't care as much now that the growing season was over. On August 4, 2023 I called Moyer's and left a message that they had until August 11 to remove the log and finish the work I had paid for. On August 9 I left a second message reminding them of the deadline. I received no response. I would prefer a substantial billing adjustment as a resolution because I no longer trust this company to work for me.

      we apologize for for the inconvenience, i was unaware of the remaining piece left behind and was under the impression the neighbor was taking all the wood, at the time of the project my apologies. I will send someone over today to cut it up and get it out of there. Sorry for any inconvenience honest mistake

      We apologize for the inconvenience, honest mistake, we have been at the residence on the day of complaint to cut the wood up and it will be removed next week due to all the rain we got we do not want to tear anyone’s property up with having to access through the neighbors yard. We sincerely apologize and will correct this issue

      My previous complaint #******* was closed because I did not respond within 10 days. My original complaint concerned ******* failure to remove the trunk of a tree from my backyard, as agreed. On August 16, 2023, ******* sent an employee to saw the trunk into pieces but he left them in place. They told BBB they would return "next week" to remove it to avoid damaging lawns rendered wet by heavy rains. They did not return or contact me. To the best of my recollection the area has received only one heavy rain since that time.

      good morning I want to start off with saying we went out there immediately the day of the complaint to cut the wood up we have had rain and things that nature sure there was a day that we could get in there and grab the wood but the biggest issue is here is that we are using a neighbors property to drive our machine in there to grab that one piece of wood but I was informed with some news this morning from my secretary, as well as a couple of my employees that were on the job site and theres one huge key component being left out of this complaint, which she was told by my secretary, as well as one of my employees that the neighbor was taking all the wood, and now that I look at the timeline of events, it sat there long enough. Homeowner didnt take the piece of wood so now shes coming back to us wanting us to pick it up fine no problem will pick it up but I dont think this complaint should affect my reputation or rating.  I just was told  when we did this project last year, the neighbor had came over and said I want all of the wood why the neighbor didnt take the last piece I dont know but at the end of the day I believe from what I was told ****** was fully aware that the neighbor was taking the wood they live next-door to each other. There was conversations between me, him and her about using his lawn to access the tree , so heres where I stand as a business owner and as a reputable company we will get in there and grab that piece of wood for a simple fact that I dont feel that I should have any negative impact on my business for someone not fulfill their end of the deal. I have such a great reputation and track record. We appreciate Billies business. She has been a returning customer So that should speak a pretty high standard for our level of expertise so at the end of the day this is all just a unfortunately an honest mistake the neighbor didnt take the last piece of wood and we need to come get it

      I am rejecting this response because:
        My neighbor did want some of the wood from the tree in question. That wood was cut into manageable pieces and placed on his property. My neighbor recently told me he made clear to Moyers that he didnt want the tree trunk. Moyers can confirm that with my neighbor. It is obvious that my neighbor couldnt take an entire trunk. I attached a photo of it to my prior complaint. 
      As I said in my prior complaint, Moyers previously told me they left the trunk because their power saw broke on metal in the trunk. Incidentally I never accepted that a tree service lacked a power saw for weeks. 
      In the response to this complaint Moyers refers to a secretary. I have never dealt with this company except directly with ********************* or his wife.

      We have tried reaching out to the consumer multiple times and left messages. Have not heard from the consumer. The business has agreed to take the remaining wood, please contact the company. The city would need to be contacted for the mats for us to drive in to get the wood.

      July 11th 2023 Moyers was hired for the agreed price of $1000 to cut down, cut up the large pieces, and move the larger pieces off of the lawn to a large patio area behind a barn. We agreed to remove the smaller pieces that we could move ourselves. They were paid in full once the tree was initially cut down with the agreement that they would return to finish the job. Upon consistent contact we were told they would be over multiple times with no one showing up or contacting us to give us an update as to why they weren’t showing up. We understood that vacations and weather situations happened during the month we’ve been waiting. I’ve contacted the company multiple times to ask about their lack of progress. Receiving the same response, we will get to it. But no one has come to do the job and no one is contacting us without us contacting them first in regards to removing the large logs. At this point we NEED the larger pieces cut up and off of our lawn and if someone wants the job complete, I won’t recommend hiring Moyers Tree Service to family or friends.

      We have been in touch with ****** as well as ***, we quoted the job at leaving all wood lay 3 ft or less, I was approached by *** after quoting and asked to move the log after project was quoted for leave all lay ($1,000) I informed them later that day via phone call that I could not move the wood as my loader was down and I had not charged to do that which they were fully aware of that not being included or charged to them as I told *** via phone call day of job and ******’s husband day of job. it was more of us doing a favor,  fast forward day of the project I get a phone call that *** was a little upset that the wood wouldn’t be moved so I had called and informed them that I would move the log and it would have to be when the loader was fixed, there was messages back and forth between us and ****** and unfortunately we tried shooting for last Thursday Friday 8-10-23/ 8-11-23 to move the log but those dates just didn’t work. I left for vacation for a little over a week on July 31 also informed ****** of those dates not being available and just returned august 9th, *** contacted me 8-13-23 and I informed him I would be there 8-14-23 to move the log and would remove the stump free of charge at a later date. On our part this has been dragged out a bit but unfortunately our hands were tied with the loader being down, loader got repaired last Thursday 8-10-23 so we unfortunately couldn’t really do much till 8-11-23 as the local shop that does all of our repairs had the repair done just shy of 5pm on Thursday. His response was “I appreciate it thank you” . We don’t want paid to move the wood I just believe this complaint is uncalled for when I made my quote leave all lay no moving of wood and customer knew that was quoted as I explained the scope of work and now I’m getting a complaint because I offered a free service that unfortunately I couldn’t proved at the time of job because I felt bad they had no way of moving large log. I apologize that any of this got to this point but our Resolution to this complaint is us moving the log which is to be completed today 8-14-23

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that their offer resolution is satisfactory to me. Though I don’t agree with everything they said in response, they did agree to complete the work in a timely manner.

      Since the complaint, we have communicated and the situation has since been resolved. I don’t think he realized the large log was not cut, which is why we were getting frustrated.

      Moyers does really amazing work and I’ve suggested that they work on their communication with clients to keep everyone in acknowledgment and clear understanding. As long as they continue with clear communication, we will definitely recommend their business to others. Thank you.
