I've been taking my beloved dogs to Willow Wood Pet Resort since 2004. They've been wonderful on all accounts...both in the way they take care of my "Ginger" and in the way they run their business. Today was the exception and it was a horrible experience in front of other customers standing in line. The business has always charged $25 for bathing my dog. When I brought in my dog four days ago for boarding and requested a bath "per usual" nobody said anything about the price for a bath DOUBLING to $50. They mentioned nothing about pricing either way. When I picked up my "Ginger" from WW this morning the brand new (1 month experienced) general mgr (Jake) was checking me out. He, without telling me, charged me $50 for a bath and tried to "sneak it in". When I questioned the total of the bill I asked him to run down the individual charges for me. He listed each item and then finally said "premium bath" $50. I said "Wait a minute!!!" What is this premium bath $50 all about????...for almost 20 years you've charged me $25 for a bath. He told me it was a new pricing decision just implemented. I said that was not fair nor the right way to conduct business and try and sneak it into a final bill without saying anything to the customer. I said someone should have told me when I brought in my dog that the price of the requested bath had DOUBLED. There was no mention whatsoever. I'm now having this conversation in front of two other customers waiting in line. Jake originally was reluctant to do the right thing and charge me $25. I had to raise my voice at him and somewhat "make a scene" to get his attention that he was not conducting business fairly. He finally agreed to charge me the $25 vs. the $50. SHAME ON YOU JAKE AND SHAME ON YOU WILLOW WOOD FOR TRYING TO PULL A FAST ONE ON YOUR BEST CUSTOMERS. SHAME ON YOU !!!!!!

We also had our dogs harmed at Willow Wood Pet Resort!!! SHAME ON THEM!! Also, we paid for a large room to board our little dogs only to show up early and surprise them and found they had put an employee’s dog in the room we paid for while leaving our dogs in a tiny grooming cage…. and this happened TWICE!!! They said it was because the employees dog was sick but they still tried to charge us for the kennel for the day. IMHO this place is DANGEROUS!!! The culture at Willow Wood Pet Resort is HOSTILE to customers and the inmates are running the asylum. WORST EMPLOYEES EVER!! Save your dog and take them elsewhere! #WillowWood #dogdaycare #willowwoodpetresort #newalbanyohio #spca #OhioBusinesses #OhioAttorneyGeneral #animalcruelty #abc6columbus #FoxNews #animalrescue #NBC4 #fox28news

I took my dog maxx here while I was away in Hawaii. First thing in the morning, i get a call that my dog is in critical condition after eating foreign objects. So one can imagine this feeling I’m about to describe. Being half a world away, starring across the ocean that lies between you, hoping your best friend will pull through, knowing he could die before you can even say goodbye. This business took little to no responsibility for it though. They lied and denied it all. The vet had a very different story than them though. They found tennis ball, licky mat, foam bedding, and LICORICE, in his stomach. They admitted to it now, but that’s only after being confronted with the evidence. Things happen, but when you lie and lie and lie about it, it’s a problem. In the end, maxx is home safe, they abandoned him at the vet, I had to go get him, pay $2,000 to get him, and the facility did little to compensate. They basically dropped the boarding costs and said your SOL on the vet bill.
