I hired Brush bandit to remove 2 trees in early winter of 2022. The removal of the trees went great, however I was not happy with the following; 1. There was a huge mound of mulch left after grinding the stump, I was told that was my responsibility when I questioned **** about. He originally told me he would be back in the spring to take car of the rest of it, including making sure all of the ivy that I also pad him to remove was gone. This did not happen. 2. As spring began to roll around I went out to check thinks out, there was a spot on my vinyl fence which I thought was one of the ivy leaves, but it was not. It was a hole about 6" long by 3 " wide . I called **** the owner and asked him to please stop by and take a look at this hole. He promised he would but i made phone call after phone before he finally said "there is no way we could have done that" our equipment would have destroyed the fence. Then when i was trying to spread out this huge mound of bark a I discover another hole on the other side of the fence same panel. I have had this fence for eight years with no damage and now suddenly there are two holes that just happen to be directly in front of the tree that was removed. After finding the second hole I called **** again, always too busy and promises to call back but never does. I had the fence company come out to look at and tell me if it could be repaired. It can but I would have to buy a new panel which is $270. They also told me it had to be the tree company, what else would cause two random holes. They also said in the winter vinyl becomes brittle and a branch could easily make that hole. **** disagreed. I made sure to hire an insured company just in case something would happen. $270 may not seem like a lot to **** but it is for me. I had hoped he would resolve this issue or at the very least offer to pay half.

      Business response

The business owner informed BBB that he was contracted to take down a large tree, large enough to require a crane.  The damage, that the consumer alleges that was done to her fence, was not done by the business.  First, any limb from the tree would have caused larger holes.  Second, it was cold when the work was done.  Any limb falling on the fence would have shattered it, not poked a hole in it.

The business does not clean up stump grindings, which is common in the industry.

The ivy was sprayed, not once, but two or three times.

The owner wants his consumers satisfied with the work the business does.  To that end, he will drop off a check of $135 to the consumer by the end of the month.
