This place is absolutely horrible! The people here are racist and bias to anyone they seem fit to not fit their bill of health! I was a previous client! They are rude inconsiderate disrespectful and lied right to my face when it can to try to open a businees checking! I would say this is absolutely one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a bank!Review from Misty C

DO NOT USE PARK NATIONAL BANK! They are part of the big old boys club and will withhold account information you are entitled to and then tell you to "go get a lawyer" to get YOUR OWN DOCUMENTS. This was after their corporate attorney, Mr. ******, informed me he KNEW I was on the account through May 2022 but since I am not currently on the account, I could not get any records (even the years that I was on the account). Oh yeah, "community banking" at its finest. What a joke. They allowed my name to be taken off of an account without any paperwork to support it. whatajoke hometownboysclubReview from Melanie H

Horrible bank. We had a trailer loan with them and when it was paid off we were selling it and had not received the title yet and were told we could come and get it from the Mt. Vernon office which was a little over an hour away. When we got there we were given the title to someones else's vehicle. Then after we told them this was not our title as it was for a truck and we have a trailer they had to look into it and then told us that the state doesn't give titles for the size of the trailer we have so we drove there for nothing. Our second trailer was then financed with them, and we paid the loan off and a month early. Now they said because the last day our payment could be paid under the grace period fell on a Sunday which was the day we paid what they listed as the payoff amount, but because they didn't "process" the payment till Monday, they therefore said that we paid the payment late and they are now not only charging us a late fee but interest on the late fee as well! Would give zero stars but they make you pick at least one.Review from DEAQUANITA M

Beware!! This bank is a rip off. I had a little trouble paying in 2016, I brought the loan current and I did not hear from this bank until this year when I was expecting to pay my last note. I get this default notice saying my loan was expecting to mature and was almost $8,000 default. They added all types of fees to come up with this amount. I was paying more than the loan ever month stating on my check for principal and they applied it to other charges so the principal would not go down. I hate I ever did business with them. My payments go to ***** **** ******** **** and the two of them never has the same balance amount. It takes them over 3 weeks ever month to process my payment it can't help but be late if they don't process payments on time. AVOID USING ***** **** ******** **** / PARK NATIONAL BANK, I DON'T CARE WHO THEY ARE DOING BUSINESS AS THEY ARE A RIP OF!!!!!!! I HAVE READ THEIR LIES AS REPLIES I HAVE PAID FOR THIS TRAILER FOR 10 YEARS AND THEY HAVE ADDED ANOTHER TWO AND MESSED UP MY CREDIT SHOWING LATE PAYMENTS.Review from Melissa B

Beware! This bank treats their loans like a high risk loan! Even if you have great credit! You will pay more towards your interest than towards your principal. They do this to keep your principal balance high for a longer time frame to prevent you from refinancing at another bank without losing money! This is what companies who take on people with low credit scores (high risk loans) do to make sure they retrieve their money. NEVER have I seen this type of loan from a bank for individuals with a good credit score- !except at this bank! Plus, there is a $250 service fee added to your loan total principal.Park National Bank Response

The Park National Bank card member service representatives, ****, and ***, are absolutely rude and terrible at their jobs. I filed a dispute regarding a Christmas gift that was never delivered to me. All information was given when the dispute was filed. However, today I received a letter stating that the $27.99 would be re-applied to my card balance because I didn’t respond to a request for more information, which also wasn’t received. When I called the card member service number tonight I provided my card number, my full name, my address, my phone number, and the last four digits of my SSN, and then **** wanted to send me a link with a verification code as if all the other information I already provided didn’t verify who I am, so I told her no that I wouldn’t be getting any codes from a link and I proceeded to tell her why I was calling. She then put me on hold, got her supervisor, ***, who then tells me that he/she is in charge of verification and not me. So I ended the call, and will be doing a balance transfer of all except the $27.99 that Park put back on my card, and Park will be losing a customer.Park National Bank Response

Me and my husband applied for a personal loan in October 2021. We were denied because they said we were showing very delinquent on our mortgage. This was very concerning because I've never been delinquent with my mortgage. I contacted my mortgage company and they confirmed they have been reporting me as on time. I contacted Equifax and they advised they showed me as up to date as well. I called Park National and they advised that was not the reason I was denied. I didn't get a straight answer as to why I was denied. I then recieved a letter in the mail showing my denial was due to a delinquent account. I am livid. I tried to file a complaint and was supposed to get a call back and never did. I feel the deliberately just wanted to deny a loan and did not want to help. Didn't matter how good or bad of a candidate I was for the loan. It was very disappointing and I will be switching banks once I get myself set up.Park National Bank Response

Beware of Park National bank fees and overdraft fees. It does not matter to Park if they made a mistake or it the overdraft was caused by a situation the customer could not predict or prevent. Park blames you for the problem, period, Then will refuse to refund the ********** wants to keep your money! They will not admit they were wrong, ever! They have a policy of 2 refunds per rotating year. If it is the banks fault or something out of your knowledge or control.. according to Park, you are to blame... period! They have forgotten good customer service. I left a bank to come to PNB because the bank I left was making mistake after mistake on my account. Now Park is showing its true colors that is care more about taking your money than helping its customers. Even the bank I left looked at each instance. It did not limit refunds to 2 each rotating year. This policy is ridiculous and lacks good customer service sense. I might be looking for another financial institution for my money yet again! Done being blamed for the *** mistakes.Park National Bank Response
