I stayed 1 night at the lodge on 10.7.23 and was asked to give a 50.00 deposit that would be refunded within 48 hours of checkout. I was only there approximately 12 hours, I checked in at 930pm after leaving Cedar Point for the evening and checked out around 9am on 10.8.23 to head back to Cedar Point. It has now been 3 weeks and I have not had my 50.00 released back to me. I called the hotel and the owner asked me to text him a picture proving I did not get the money back, that was done on Monday 10.23.23, I reached back out to the owner on 10.26.23 and still he will not release my money. I am a single parent and 50.00 is a lot of money right now. I just want the money released back to me that is still pending on my card. I have contacted the owner twice and gave him and opportunity to make this right and unfortunately he seems to have no interest in doing so.

Last week, I stayed at 3 seperate Choice hotels. The first one was okay, and the third one was excellent! But the second one I went to, terrible. On June 1st-2nd I stayed at a the Econolodge in ******** **. The check in was kinda weird as the guy scanned my id and it made me very uncomfortable as this isnt something ive ever had done to me while staying at a hotel. He seemed kinda off too, ive heard others say he seemed drunk but im not sure. It was late when I checked in. Getting to my room, it REEKED of cigarette smoke! And I dont smoke myself. I could tell it was dirty. The microwave was half cleaned, the sinks and toilets were still gross. There was no shower curtain. I got shampoo and no conditioner. There was a bottle cap from a beer when i got in my room. I found a razor blade in the room. And it looks like a towel was placed on the smoke detector so someone could smoke in the room without the alarm going off? I don’t know but all of this is very sketchy. When i got to get free breakfast, there was really basically nothing. There was a milk jug that had been out, warm, and had a funky smell. I figured the cheap cereal was stale. The coffee was really bad, it made my stomach hurt i couldn’t even finish it. And lastly, they had some green bananas and some very waxy apples . There were no other options for breakfast. I expected much better quality coming from Choice hotels, especially considering my stay at the Quality Inn down the road had the same cost and was exceptionally better. I seriously advice you to look into maintaining the quality of all your hotels because this one definately was subpar and I would never stay at this hotel again. Please email me your response as I don’t answer my phone. Thank you.

We checked into the Econo Lodge on June 22nd at approximately 8pm. We signed a bill for the amount of $168.75. We went to our room. We stayed in room **** The next morning we went to check out and the office was closed and they had no key drop set up. We left the keys in our room and left at approximately 6am on June 23rd. I tried calling several times on the 23rd to see about a receipt and received no answer from the hotel. On June 24th 2 more transactions from the hotel came up on our Bank account. 1 transaction for the amout of $20 and the other for $225.37. I called the hotel 3 times and received no answer. I then called their corporate office. The corporate office called the hotel and they were saying we stayed for 2 night. We did not do. We were there for 1. We tried discussing this with the hotel and they are saying we are lying that we were booked for 2. I read the papers we signed and I remember them very clear. They stated we would be staying for 1 night. They are refusing to give our money back and this isn't the worst of it. We stayed in a dirty room that was not sanitized at all. After going to our room the bed was unmade and there was empty pop bottles on the tables. We called the front desk and their answer was to bring us sheets that didn't fit and I had to clean the room myself and change the sheets myself!
