In 2017 we rented Hangar #34 at Phillipsburg, OH Airport. We made prompt payments (early) for these 4 years. After the hangar behind us had damage leaving openings to debris, birds, etc. we decided to find another Airport. April 29, 2022 we notified Phillipsburg of our planned departure and even paid for the full month of May while moving a bit at a time throughout the month. We stated such in both email and a physical letter with a check for our final month payment which was indeed cashed. The lock (which we have used throughout the 4 yrs) was my school combination lock, I’ve had for over 40 years, it’s sentimental. Beginning of May we flew the airplane out but still had the rest of May to get our full aircraft paint booth panels and some other belongings out. On May 28th, we went to remove the remainder of our belongings however someone had cut off my lock and replaced it with another. We have been in contact with ***** ******, the airport owner who is unwilling to give us the contact information of the person who he says he has rented the space out to already (it’s still under our names through the end of this month!) and he tells us our things have been removed. We were just there yesterday and you can see our property still inside right through the cracks. He refuses to help us resolve this because is out of town (but has acknowledged via email the legal issue is at hand). We have legal right to our things, let alone they are technically trespassing as we have the hangar access/use through the end of this month. We have treated this agreement respectfully and lawfully for 4 years and they have not. They are taking our possessions and blocking our access. He 1st said I was welcome to go pick my property up then said there was no property inside. He 1st said (email) they didn’t cut my lock, a windstorm blew the doors off (no one notified us) ) that does not explain the replaced lock. We seek our property, new lock, a refund for 1/2 mo. he re-rented & mark on BBB
