My lease in my apartment ended July 31, 2022. I emailed, called, emailed again, called again at the beginning of June to let the rental office know that I was not continuing my lease and would need to schedule a move out date at the end of July. I was unable to get a call back or a response from anyone. Nobody is ever in the office at these apartments. Turnover at the office is continuous. I called the office seeking my deposit of $700 in late September. I was told that it would take 60 - 90 days to get that to me. Two days later I received a letter from Bent Tree seeking past rent for August! I was floored. I left the apartment in perfect condition, paid my rent on time every month and took pictures of everything when I left. It is shocking that a company can be this dishonest and terrible to people.
