      Cherry Blossom advertises ************** The majority of the residents on the Assisted Living side end up on the memory care side of the building. They know this. Yet, there are ***** doors on the AL side that have NO ALARMS, NO MONITORING. ************************* walked out of the building one winter 2024 evening, and NO ONE DISCOVERED HE WAS MISSING UNTIL 9am the next day. HE FROZE TO DEATH. It was not reported in the media, & no one contacted me, nor was there transparency from management of any changes to avoid a repeat.They charge for additional levels of care, but I was never able to get proof anything was executed.A functioning, somewhat independent person with dementia will forget to eat or may not get enough fluids in the day. I brought this to their attention for over a year. Their response, "We weigh the residents once a month." That is too late. Intake, if not monitored can and will have an indelible negative impact on a dementia patient.I was visiting my father & noticed slurred speech (where was that additional level of care, I paid for so that an aide would check on my dad?). He was hospitalized for 6 days. He was dehydrated, kidneys not functioning normally, and he had a UTI. We never took him back to Cherry Blossom. We discovered the ****** communities, and it was like stepping into the light. Real nurses, schedules, procedures, reportsand they weigh residents DAILY. I asked the executive director, ****** if they clean the windows in the resident's apartment? No, he said. I paid for Window Genie to come in. Do they clean the carpets in the residents apartments? He said they did but he could never tell me when it happened or produce a receipt. Zero transparency. Zero honesty. The truth is they are in the business of renting rooms and little else. They do not have enough skilled nurses. They currently have several open cases with the *************** of ******* If you have a loved one in need of memory care, stay away from Continental Communities.

      As a resident of Highgrove in Lexington, I see the constant change in employees and failure to fulfill the advertised services. Additional fees are added, without improvement in providing services.

      The Corporate Office of Highgrove at Tates Creek is very unfair in refunding prepaid rental fees when the patient must leave the facility because of an emergency (patient passed away). The patient was transported to the hospital (vacated the room) on November 13, 2023, and was only reimbursed for 7 days. The patient should have been reimbursed at least 10 to 17 days. This type of situation is not included in the Rental Contract.
