I entered a contract with Ventura Remodeling in August of 2022 to build-out my practice. The project was officially completed on January 11th 2023. I paid my contract of 80,800 plus 7,400 in overages. I never received a final invoice upon completion or any receipts (vendor, subcontractor, etc.) for overages. Ventura has been threatening me and my employee for additional money. The owner Michelle 'Cita" C**** has threatened us in person, texts, and phone calls. She continuously demands obscure amounts of money that change with each correspondence. Her employee verbally threatened my employee and claimed he will be "coming after" me. In addition, their work was incomplete and there were many issues during the build-out process. For example, they did not consistently show up to the site and purchased items outside of what Cita and I discussed. There were also parts of the contract that were not completed, such as ceiling paint. They also defaced an x-ray lead sheet with the phrase "**** ** ***". I was forced to cover it up with materials I purchased. Our contract stated the Ventura was the responsible party for the purchase of materials, I was forced to buy materials so the project would be completed. Current day, Ventura, specifically Cita is refusing to pay vendors for materials related to the project/covered in our contract. I am being threatened with liens from both Ventura and the supplier. The supplier understands it is her responsibility to pay, however it seems like they cannot reach an agreement with Ventura. Therefore, this is directly affecting me, my business, and now my landlord. I have filed a police report relating to the harassment.
