Was driving down a busy road when a Male stopped me to tell me the back tire was about to fall off. We took it to a used tire and the man working there took the tires off and noticed the whole back frame and suspension from tire to tire in rear was rusted out. He told us to drive it home and park it that it wasn't safe to drive. Both back tires cost $110.

April is asking for $4400 which is more than twice the amount of the estimate that she got for the repairs. Even though the car was sold as-is over a month ago I offered to purchase the front and rear sub frames for the car, which is most of the cost of the total repair bill

On September 27, 2023 I went to ******* ** good used cars and purchased a 2010 Subaru Legacy for $3800 I had the car for 72 hours and apparently there was not a clamp on one of the hoses for the coolant and it blew my engine, I have to either get a new engine for my car for $6000-$8000 or cut my losses and get a new car. One of the questions I asked when discussing the car with the dealer what was wrong with the car because it was priced very low and I told him that I would be willing to fix what was wrong with it, he told me nothing was wrong with it yet quit working completely within three days of me having it. I’m not sure what to do but I know that it’s not OK and I don’t want it to happen to someone else. I was in disbelief that my car needed that much work. I have taken it to two mechanics getting estimates from it. ******** Auto certified, and ********** **** quoted me almost $8000, money shift, racing in ********** **** quoted me almost $6000.

We did not know of any issues with the car when it was sold. We also did not know a coolant hose would fail a few days later. It has been 6 months since we sold the car and this is the first time we find out it needs an engine replacement. The car was sold as-is. We can offer engine replacement at our cost or help sell the car.

I am rejecting this response because:

I did in fact reach out to you directly after, the hose did not fall off; There was no clamp on it at all, it is something that should of been looked over before the car was sold to me. It isn’t that there was no way of knowing, you are at fault. Yes, it was sold as is but it seems you do this a lot according to your other customers, clearing codes and selling cars with issues. I did as you what was wrong with the car and you replied, “nothing.”Check engine light came on when I was on my way home and already a hour away from you, I did call you but you didn’t pick up or return my voice mail.  I want nothing from you , I called you and tried to hash this out over the phone but you don’t pick up or call back. Instead you chose to reply here.  Very nice of you to take advantage of me and my 75 year old grandmothers trust and kindness. Stop clearing codes and selling bad cars. Thanks.

I purchased a 2011 Subaru Impreza from ****** on 12/19/2023 for $2,062.00. On 12/25/23 the check engine light came on. I called Good Used Cars and spoke with ****** that this happened. He said have it looked at and call him with what the codes were for the engine light. I first took the car to ****** **** ****** in ***********, **** a authorized Subaru shop on 1/5/2024 (the soonest I could get it in to be looked at since they and other shops were so busy) and they stated it needed a head gasket, it had radiator issues and catalytic converter problems. Was quoted over $2,500 plus in repairs. I then took the car to ****** **** **** in *********, **** for a second opinion. They stated that it would be cheaper to put in a whole new engine for head gasket leak and that would not address the radiator issues or the catalytic converter problem. Meanwhile we had been leaving messages to ****** on his voicemail. My mother emailed the findings from ****** **** to him. We asked that he take the car back since it was not represented as a fixer upper or had major engine issues. He finally called my mother and stated he would not take the car back even though we said we would take $1,750.00 back. We were willing to take a small hit on the purchase. He refused. He knowing sold us a car that should have never been sold to any customer or safe to be on the road. We still do not have the title to the car. We have all documents for this car on request.

The vehicle was purchased and about 10 days later customer states that the check engine light came on. Even though the car was sold as-is I asked him to get me the codes for it which about any parts store can do to see what happened to it to see if there’s anything I can do to help. I did not hear back until about a month after the sale date of the car. The title was transferred and mailed. I can help with the duplicate copy if it got lost in the mail. Also, I can help you sell the car.

I am rejecting this response because: it was hard to find a shop that repaired Subaru cars. The 1st shop did not want to touch the repairs needed. The second shop said it would be cheaper to replace the engine and siad it was not woth the money to fix. We kept Good used Cars informed the as things unfolded regarding the issues with the car. We left voice mail messages.  I work 3rd shift and it was not a month after the 1st call. We had to take the car to a salvage yard due to the volume of oil that was leaking. We had to make numerous calls and emails before he would return a call. We would accept 1,000.00.

10/19/23 purchased Chevy Equinox AWD from dealer, clearly understanding it was USED but after buying discovered AWD system was not intact. Contacted dealer stating the issue and that the AWD component was a major reason for purchasing. He agreed to have it fixed by his mechanic at no addt'l cost to us. When car was returned to dealer for repair it was mentioned a noise was being heard would the mechanic diagnose issue, Not Repair IT. When picked up dealer never mentioned source of noise, took to our mechanic Nov 1 told car was not fixable, rusted out, not road worthy. Contacted dealer numerous times via phone (no answer) left messages, texted a possible solution but dealer has not told me what his intentions are, even if he intends to do Nothing. Was buying car for family member in a tight situation, told dealer this a very time sensitive to please let me know his intentions. After taking $$ he told me he never looked under the car. I want a partial credit against non-drivable car to put towards other vehicle on his lot not intending for him to lose on AWD repair. When he first was informed about rusted out situation he said he was trying to come up with a solution but since then stone cold silence.
