Lawn Squad provides less than desired results. My weeds are healthier than my grass. The service manager stated that the technicians are young and don’t know what they are doing. The weeds are overtaking my lawn, I have called the service center, sent emails and pictures of my lawn on June 17, 2024 . They made it quite clear that my concerns were not valid enough to resolve because I never received follow up emails or phone calls. I was told the service manager was too busy to come to my home and address my concerns. Only to find out he was on vacation and they made no attempt to have another manager cover his clients. They came back out to retreat my lawn on July 2, 2024 after I stated I was going to switch lawn care companies and again was dissatisfied with the results. However, they do not have any issues informing you when payment is due. They caused fertilizer burn to many spots in my yard and tree lawn and the weeds have grown taller than my grass. I would NOT recommend their services to anyone. It’s a waste of your time and money!!! They do not provide timely follow up service after customer complaints. Another dissatisfied customer leaving for “Greener Pastures “ ! Pun intended!!!Review from Tom P

This is the worst lawn company. I hired them in March 2024 and asked to have my lawn serviced asap. It took 4 phone calls and 3-4 weeks for them to come out. I then called to ask how often they do come out and I was informed that I was due, and was told the following Monday. After a week without showing up I called again, and was told the same thing with no one ever showing up. If you want to give money away to a company that doesn’t do anything go with lawn squad.Review from Julie B

I started with this company in the fall of 2023. My lawn has never had weeds before and it is now the beginning of June 2024 and my lawn is about 75% weeds. I kept thinking that with each treatment so far this year (monthly) that they would get it under control, but it gets worse. I called the office on May 20th and Angelo was supposed to call me back. I never got a call. I called yesterday, June 3, and said I wanted Angelo to call me back or come out and check out my problem. They even asked me to email pictures of my lawn to them which I did immediately. No answer to the email and no call from Angelo. I was scheduled for treatment on June 3, but the lawn technician called around 4:00 to say that he couldn’t make it out that day and he’d put me back on the schedule. I had stayed at home all day, so I could talk to him about the weed problem. So I called today, June 4, to cancel my service and told her why because she asked. She asked if she put my call through to Angelo right then, whether he could change my mind about cancelling. I guess Angelo can talk to you if you threaten to cancel. I told her no, that it was too late - my lawn is ruined. If they came out now and killed the weeds, I’d have a bald lawn. Unfortunately, my weed problem seems to be creeping into my neighbors - I’m mortified. I wish I could give a negative star rating.Review from Siva R

As I can not give less than one star rating, I chose one star for their services. I had their services in the end of 2022 season and from the beginning in 2023. They lie very much and try to rip customers of money in anyway they could. For example, their applications were 5 - 6 weeks apart and I saw my lawn yellowing and unhealthy. When I requested them to space the applications every 4 weeks (I agreed to pay extra), their scheduling said they can not do that, 5 - 6 weeks is their cycle. Then 3 weeks after one application, I saw weeds all over in my lawn and called for service visit which is free. They did come and treat the lawn but charged my card for the visit. When I asked them, they said they combined application (which is not due for another 2 or 3 weeks) along with the service call and hence the charge. When I told them about the frequency of 5 -6 weeks they previously said, they now changed it to 4 -5 weeks. And when I asked it was not even 4 weeks, they said it was only a few days away!! When I protested they said they will not charge the next application. They charged my card again for the next application in early September, 2023. When I called they said this visit was two applications (one due this month and the winterizer) and they charged only one!! I asked them summer wasn't over yet and whey they applied winterizer? No proper answer. Also, note the service technician left did not mention anything about two doses or winterizer. Also, they charged $48+ twice. If they combined two visits, they should charge less for one of them because cost of fuel, man hours, effort etc is spent only once. When I asked this, there was no answer. I called my credit card, disputed the charge and got my money back. This is totally an unethical business, always looking to rip money off the gullible.Lawn Squad Response

Mr. ********** is disputing a charge for services he did receive. I've attached all supporting documents to this email. Doc 1 contains the service summary report for both applications done on 9/19/23. We applied 2 applications on this date. Doc 2 contains the invoice for the services performed on 9/19/23, as you will be able to see we didn't charge him for the round 6 due to his dispute of this service we agreed to only charge him for one of the two applications that he received. Below that you will see the receipt for the payment made via auto pay that he has set up on his account that was charged the following day after services were performed. Doc 3 contains the Debit memo for the dispute that he made with his bank, due to this, the balance was placed back onto his account for the services that we did. Doc 4 contains the invoice for the exact same services that he received in 2022 as his program his exactly the same as it was in 2022. Below that you will see the receipt for the payment he made for this service. The point of this document is to show that he received the same service that he signed up for when he began with us in 2022 and that this same service was done this year in 2023. He paid for this service in 2022 but disputed it in 2023. Doc 5 is a call log stating that the service manager made a point to contact the customer and explain this is how our program is modeled and to clear up any further confusion or miscommunication. He is no longer a customer, due to disputing multiple charges, and giving him free services that were not designed within our lawn care program. We did try to meet him in the middle by not charging for one of the two services. I do have all the supporting documentation, please let me know where I can send it. Thank youReview from Micahel B

They don't show up when scheduled and now being the middle of May weed preemergent is of no use. Last year the last treatment just didn't happen ..... they said sorry we will apply it to this years account and we prepay the balance since we prepay every year. This has always been a problem and I have not received even a call back to reschedule, I had to call them and all I was told was we are trying to get you rescheduled. When they do come out they come right after it rains and say it's too wet they will have to come back... Beware of this company they are very unreliable and have also caused damage to my yard in the past by using their machinery when it is way to wet leaving ruts in my lawn and never repairing it. They will do your yard even if it's to wet if I am not here to talk to them about it. Rob is the owner and he has lied to me on multiple times about my lawn. When I do call after they don't show up I am treated like it is my fault. I have requested a full refund since they have done nothing this year and wanted anyone that is thinking of using these people to think again about not. I am not a new customer and should have learned several years ago how bad they really are.Review from Nanette H

I responded to a mailer I received from Weed Pro in 2021 and purchased a one-year package. I haven't had a lawn service before and did not realize that Weed Pro would automatically start treatments in 2022; which they did on March 8, 2022, and left a bill for $43.97. I went on their website on 3/30 to try to determine if I would be able to afford service for 2022. The cost for a year's service increased by $56. Between March 8-April 20, I received weekly automated telephone calls and two bills from them. I left a message on April 22, but did not receive a call back. I called their office because I was unhappy that they did made little effort to make me aware that they were going to do a treatment, but spent a lot of time contacting me regarding payment of the bill. I spoke to two customer serv reps and they were cordial, but could not lower the cost. I called back today and talked to supervisor, Liz. I requested a copy of the original contract, which they don't do. Liz was very defensive, and "got me told". I shared with her that I was more upset that they came out and did the treatment, and I wasn't aware of; but spent a great deal of time on collection for the treatment. She was unfriendly and defensive. I cancelled my service with them. It seems that they would have tried to understand my disappointment and perhaps work with me on the price, but Liz could have cared less. Good customer service is so important to a company's reputation. Liz "got me told" but Weed Pro lost my business. I'm giving 2 stars because the treatments were okay, as only one of the 7 was delayed and they didn't keep me informed as to when they would come out.
