Gilliam Lawncare is contracted to mow the lawn next to us. The property is owned by Metropolitan Housing Authority. Approximately 3 weeks ago Gillams ran their large ride on mower through our chainlink fence. The workers failed to contact me as I was at my back door watching them as they mowed. I tried to make contact with the workers unsuccessfully. At that time I was in a wheelchair (recent surgery) so I was unable to go outside to speak with them. I've been calling both Gillams and MHA to get resolution and nothing has been done and I'm getting the run around. Last year, Gilliam ran into ourfence twice in one week! The previous year this also happened. So for the past several years either MHA or whoever they have contracted has ran through our fence. I've been speaking to a **** Anderson with MHA in springfield. He says he's emailing Gillams but they have not contacted us and when I call their office, they tell me to call MHA. We are ready to take further action.

Gillam Lawncare & Landscaping was contacted by Springfield Metropolitan Housing on 9-23-22 of possible damages to the neighbors fence at one of their properties along with a report from said neighbor that a window was broken by Gillam at the SMH property. On 9-26-22 the fence was inspected by a a manger of Gillam. The manager was unable to locate damages to the fence. The fence was not compromised in any manner and remained viable and functionable. He followed up with SMH to complete an inspection of their own and advise.

On 10-13-22, a representative of SMH inspected the property for damages and concluded that the damages to their property's window was not caused by the actions of a Gillam employee. He was able to find a small 8 inch round impression in the fence of the neighbor and discussed this with the homeowner. She informed the SMH representative that she would like to have the small indentation repaired. Directly after the conversation with the homeowner the SMH representative advised Gillam to make a repair. On 10-13-22, Gillam contacted a fence repair company about the issue and requested the necessary repairs to be made.

On 11-1-22, the fence repair company made their inspection and spoke with the homeowner about repair options. The homeowner agreed that installing a small section into the fence with a splice would be a sufficient repair. The fence company instructed the homeowner that the fence material was not a standard chain link dimension and special order materials would need to be procured. Scheduling of the repair would be made after materials were acquired.

On 11-22-22, Gillam contacted the fence company about the repair and the fence company advised that they were still awaiting materials to arrive in order to make the repair.

Gillam Lawncare and Landscaping has made every effort possible to remedy the issue in a timely manor. It is the unfortunate circumstance that the repair company is experiencing supply issues and the homeowner is not able to exercise some patience in the matter.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:
Gillams has never contacted me regarding the repair.  I had to contact SMHA and get info from them.  **** from SMHA forwarded an email from Gillams. The fencing company did come to the house and speak with me.  I wanted to chose the company to repair the fence!  Gillams is very unprofessional.  Last year his people ran their lawn mowers into our fence twice within 1 week and once the year prior.  It's a shame that we have to monitor them every time they mow the neighbors lawn.
      Sincerely,
