on Feb. 1, 2023, I purchased a mattress and platform at Cedar Hill Furniture, Kettering, Ohio. It is a Jamison Cool Springs queen set. I pay for it in full at the time of purchase and was told by ****, the manager that it would be in within ten days to 2 weeks. After two weeks, I heard nothing and called them and spoke to a lady and was told it should hear something in the next day or so and she would have **** call me. After not hearing from ****. I went to the business after three weeks from the purchase date and spoke to ****. He said he didn't know why it hadn't come in, because it usually only takes 10 days to two weeks. He said he'd call me when he found out what was going on. As of today Feb. 28 I have not heard anything. It will be a month tomorrow since the purchase.Business response

I am rejecting this response because:I feel that if I wouldn't have contacted the BBB, I'd still be waiting for the mattress and platform. For 30 days, I feel like they showed no concern about our purchase. After you contacted them, **** finally called and blamed the manufacturer and accepted no responsibility for the delay and didn't apologize until today in this written response. I feel that after all this some sort of reimbursement would be a nice gesture.

Delivery dates on special orders are estimates only, and do change because of shipping and production delays. Unfortunately, this is beyond our control. I spoke to your sales associate, ****, and he gave you free delivery on a promoted sale price. We are unable to offer any further discounts. If you should have any other furniture needs, we guarantee the best prices on quality furniture and would love the opportunity to earn your business.

I am rejecting this response because:number one, it being a special order was never mentioned we were told they received them every Tuesday in the warehouse. The problem was not with shipping or production delays. The problem was that Cedar Hill never contacted us to let us know what the status was and when I'd call to check on it, no one would ever return my call. Plus I stopped in the store once and spoke to **** and he still didn't get back with me for 30 days. So, my main issue is there needs to better customer service as far as communication. We feel we have been very truthful through the complaint process and do not see any way they will ever address the real complaint.

While we were shopping for living room furniture we found a set and rug we liked. We didn't know if the rug would fit so we made sure to ask (***) if we could exchange it for a size smaller. He said yes. When we got the rug and rolled it out it was to big. I then called spoke with (***) and he stated "that wouldn't have been me" which is a complete lie. We asked SPECIFICALLY because of the issue we now have. We spent 6k plus and now he can't work with us? Seems a little shady if I just say so.Business response
