In January 2024, I hired Care-A-Lot Tree Service to remove a tree in my front yard. The stump and roots were also to be removed. I was very specific when discussing this with **** ********. I pointed to the roots in the yard and was clear that those are to be removed as well. He stated that it would be no problem to remove those for the agreed upon price. The tree was removed, along with minor trimming of a tree in the backyard, along with a cable that was installed in the tree back there as well. They finished for the day and was to return at a later time to finish up in the front (stump and root removal). I assumed this was the case as they just left and did not say anything about when they were to return to finish the job. Several days later they showed up on 1/30/2024 to finish removing the stump. I happened to be home at that time (again, was never notified when they were returning) and spoke to another person who seemed to be in charged. They said they were removing the stump and I reminded them to remove the roots also. I even pointed them out to the man and he said no problem! I went ahead and paid with credit card and left. When I returned home the roots were still there. None had been removed. I called them back at ************ and ************* the numbers on their business card. I called at least 12 times over the next couple of weeks before finally getting a call back from **** ********. We discussed the roots and how I need them removed. He said he would call me back the next day and take care of it. I never heard back from ****. I called and left a couple more messages and no return call. I'm asking for a refund of $350, the amount I paid another tree company to remove the roots that they failed to do. I will give them 30 days from today (4/23/24) to refund this amount back to my card or I will file a complaint with the Ohio Attorney General for fraud and theft.

I'd like to update the status to resolved.  The owner of the business reached out to me today by phone and we came to a mutually agreed upon resolution.

I hired Care-A-Lot tree service to cut down, remove and grind out the stump of a maple tree that had been blown down at my home. The work was being done on Monday, July 3, 2023. They worked throughout the day and completed everything except grinding the stump. I paid them the agreed upon sum of $1300. They left their truck and chipper parked with the promise of returning Wednesday, July 5 to complete the work. They did not show up. I called and left a message. I received a voicemail apology and assurances they'd return to complete the work the following day. By Friday the truck was gone and the stump had not been removed. I called and texted them several times during that time through Monday, July 10 but got no responses to calls or text messages. At this point I would like a refund of the $100 I paid them to grind out the stump, which they have never made an attempt to get done.

I hired the company to take down a tree and they did significant damage to my fence. They said that they would fix it but they’ve never returned and they’re refusing to answer their phone and will not return any of my phone calls

On July 28, 2021, I entered into a service contract with Care- A- Lot Tree & Shrub to (1) remove one walnut tree and dead ash tree, (2) build a bridge over the creek on the property, (3) erect a nylon fence behind the shed, and (4) other services related to each. On August 5, 2021, employees returned to my property and left prior to completing the nylon fence and had not completely removed the dead ash tree. I was informed that they would return to complete both services between August 20th and August 22nd. I paid for the services in full in the amount of $9,000. Before the employees ever returned to my property to complete the services, which were paid for in full, the bridge that they built had collapsed and floated down the creek. I contacted Care-A-Lot on numerous occasions over the past couple of months to notify them regarding: (1) the failure of the bridge and to (2) ascertain when they would return to complete my nylon fence and tree removal. I have received no response from anyone at Care -A- Lot to remedy any of the aforementioned issues nor I have received any return of payment for the services.
