We confirmed our order on 6/12/24 and as of 11/14/24 we still have no windows, doors or siding. No one answers the phone and had to leave a message and no one calls back. Back in June it was to be 4 to 6 weeks to get our windows, doors & siding. So where are they????ProVia Response

The process of submitting orders is initialized by the contractor to the distributor and then the distributor is responsible to submit the final order to ProVia. Since your order has been submitted, we suggest reaching out to your contractor for further updates - they'll be able to provide you with the most up-to-date information through their distributor. Bought a patio sliding door for a rental home I own, vacant for several months after the installation was done. While inspecting the door before a new tenant was about to move in discovered a screen door handle was broken on several places, without any actual use, as if the part was manufactured poorly. On September 16 2024 followed Provia's directions on their website to get a replacement handle, which led to contact the distributor who sold the door to the contracting company who sold me and installed the door. September 17 2024 distributor confirmed the part was ordered. By October 21 2024 had not gotten updates or replacement part, contacted distributor again, was told the part had been shipped to the contractor instead of to me. October 22 2024 contacted the contractor who supposedly had the part but they did not know anything about it. Contacted Provia doors & windows customer service at ************ to get help to get my part. The person I spoke to assured me Provia was going to help sorting the part from the appropriate channel. November 14 2024, still don't have the part, no updates from any of the parties, still emailing/calling the distributor, the contractor, and tried to call Provia but their customer service number does not work today as if it is disconnected. I chose Provia because it was supposed to be better quality than cheaper competitors and allegedly good customer support. Don't believe that is the case. Caveats to other consumers: 1- Potential manufacturing quality issues, in my case one part without use at all, dreading finding more issues after actual use from my tenants. 2- Poor customer support procedures for warranty replacements/parts replacements: Customers should not be in the business of navigating/mediating distributors, contractors, and other parties, to get warranty parts, the manufacturer should do that.Review from Cindy P

We’ve had Provia windows installed about a year ago. I’ve noticed a difference in the winter that our house is colder than previous years. When the wind blows I can see my curtains moving, that should never happen with brand new windows. They are cheaply made, when you close one window the whole window moves, the locks never line up! Not to say, the screen can easily be moved from the outside so people can climb right into your hose!! I would not recommend these windows to anyone. And yes they fog up a lot too!Review from Sheila A

I have a new home with Provia windows. They do not close and lock properly and the screens do not fit. I have worked with the salesman in my area since May of 2024 to get just the screens to fit. They have measured and been out to the house 3 times it is now Nov. of 2024 and we still do not have screens that fit the window. Getting someone on the phone is near impossible. Do your homework find a different window for your home.ProVia Response

Poor quality double hung windows. The sashes can easily catch when sliding resulting in broken load balancers which are low quality plastic. Poor customer support as they would do nothing about the windows until the regional rep had time to come see even though we had sent photos and had the distributor had come and seen. They did not work even while still in the boxes. We waited 3 weeks for the rep to come and then he would only provide replacement parts instead of the exchange to sliders that we wanted. They do not follow the values they claim. They do not even have installation videos for the current design. The installation is very difficult and even with the new parts the problem occasionally recurs. The distributor has no leverage with them.ProVia Response

Hi *** - We apologize for the issues you experienced with your windows. We do not advise operating the windows while still in the box, as their functionality is largely dependent on proper installation. After being contacted on 9/4, ProVia's Account Manager and dealer scheduled a visit to take a look at the concerns on 9/16. Upon inspection, our representative determined it was a balancer issue, which has since been replaced and resolved. The dealer also reached out to let us know that the spline keeps coming out of the screen, so we are sending all new double-hung screens to replace what's causing the problem. Again, we apologize for the problems with the windows and are taking all steps necessary to ensure your windows are operating correctly. We appreciate your patience while we get all issues resolved. We just purchased a front entry and rear door leading to our deck. We are SO very pleased and excited to have these beautiful doors! They are quite literally a work of art! The beveled glass and trim work on our front door and sidelights is just breathtaking! I found out that each door is made to order and many of the features are done by hand. It’s true, Provia doors are a bit pricey but when you see the craftsmanship and artwork that goes into these pieces of art, they are priceless! They add a lot of curb appeal and overall value to your home which is always welcomed! We are so pleased we went with Provia!ProVia Response

As a homeowner, i have never posted a review on the BBB site before; however, ProVia, has proven to be a company of the highest integrity, truly exemplifying their purpose, delivering above & beyond exceptional customer service, so much that I am looking for ways to give them my highest praise. ProVia, you have a staff member, Ann C*****, in your Ohio office, who went above & beyond to help find resolution after a particularly difficult ordeal with a contractor situation gone very wrong. In addition to the high quality of your products, with Ann's help, as one of your representatives, I believe ProVia will continue to shine their light far and wide.
