We hired B&R Excavating to waterproof our basement and some concrete work. The came out in mid September to start the waterproofing process and that portion of the work was great. It was discussed at the time to hold off on pouring concrete until the spring due to replacing our in-ground pool liner which requires us to need new concrete there as well. It was suggested to us that we should backfill the hole on the back of the house with gravel until the spring and pour all of the concrete at once, we agreed with that plan. Upon finishing the waterproofing they were going to comeback the following day to fill in the hole and the airbag on their dump truck blew (I understand this is out of their control). They were ordering the part to fix the truck as they were not able to transport the gravel until it was replaced. They scheduled with us to come back the following week and had to cancel because their part was back ordered, however it is now December, we have tried multiple times to reach them via phone and text, the voicemail box is always full and calls and texts are never returned. I have a trench on the back of my house which prevents me from using the back door off of my house and kids and a dog that I have to be cautious about them in the yard (my kids arent allowed back there at all currently). They ghosted us in the middle of the job and now we have to pay extra money from what was quoted to us to rent equipment and purchase gravel to complete the work ourselves. I dont think they do bad work but its unprofessional to have no contact with a client in the middle of a job, or start a job without finishing it.Business response

(Complaint taken over the phone by BBB staff, LST, on 03/07/22.)*** In 02/2019, Consumer paid $6800 for a concrete driveway and other work. Recently the concrete is peeling up in areas. She called Company who cited personal issues and made no committment to look at the problem.Business response

Business stated that they completed the consumers driveway and every year they must get it sealed. Told BBB the consumer had the driveway sealed by a different company and that there are no warranties on concrete in **** because of weather. Explained the issue is with ******************* who worked on the driveway and not with the business.
