Wig installed on 1/13/2023 by ***** ******** ******* at The Doll House Salon at 5058 Dorr Street in Toledo, Ohio 43615. It was not sewn in as previous install was on 11/17/2022. It felt ok at time of install, but fell to the floor on 1/17/2023. Upon inspection, the wig cap ***** placed over the braided hair before installing the wig showed no evidence of penetration by the wig combs. The only thing holding the wig on was the wig strap it felt looser and looser with each passing day. The loosening strap is what apparently gave way and the wig fell completly off! I Immediately notified stylist that same day & requested a return visit to restall, including a sew-down. I spoke briefly with stylist & it was difficult to establish an apptointment time & day with stylist because of her phone problems. She didn't respond to my subsequent repeated phone calls & text messages & it proved to be very difficult to reach her. Meanwhile, I experienced a death in my immediate famiily & I resorted to sewing my own wig back on to the best of my ability so I could attend to that urgent matter! I resumed contacting stylist again on 2/4/2023 via text message, followed by multiple calls. She texted back on 2/7/2023. Per her text messages (in attached file), she accused me of having deliberately snatched the wig off! Despite having notified her immediately when the wig first fell off 4 days after the install, she is now saying I am attempting to have the wig installed for free because it has loosened by now and needs professional attention, This false accusation has no basis of fact, as I have paid for my 3 visits & have tipped stylist generously. I have never said or done anything to imply I am in need of free services. Again, this was the 2nd wig install this styist performed for me; the 1st having been on 11/17/2022, which included stitching. That one held for 2 months, including washing it and daily gentle grooming. The stylist's technique for the 2nd install felt secure at the time, but a few days later, it turned out the failure to do any sew down resulted in it coming off without any provocation! Instead of acknowledging the install was not adequately performed, the stylist is blaming me & accusing me of being the cause the problem! I want a total refund for her failure to adequately provide the service I paid for. Stylist is also holding a wig I left with her on 1/13/2023 to color for me. She is telling me to come pick it up by end of this week. I want the wig back, as I paid handsomely for it. But I am uncomfortable with the stylist's hostility & do not want to return to this shop. Stylist has pleasantly ended each of my 3 visits with her with pleasantries about how I am to call her if there are any problems whatsoever with anything about the services I received. When I did so after this 3rd visit, she turned into a totally different person who held no interest in my need for help. That, plus her desparaging remarks that you can see in the attached text message have made this a very unpleasant experience! All I asked for was a correction to her work. What I got back was mean spirited and unprofessional! You should know that this is how this stylist responds when a problem is brought to her attention. Attached are the supporting text messages & other supporting evidence. Thank you for this attention to this matter!
