*BUYER BEWARE!!* My wife and I purchased a 2013 Jeep Wrangler on 9/21/2024 from **** ******. Mind you we paid in full. 2 days after the purchase the engine light came on. 2 DAYS! We took it to a local repair shop they told me that it could be the manifold sensor and if the light came back on then we were sold a lemon. We then called Yark to tell them what had happened, they did agree to pay for half of the sensor repair. Needless to say the light came on the next day, throwing a transmission code. They refused to do anything else to help! We planned to take it in to get it looked at a Jeep dealer, and a couple days before the appointment the engine light turned off. Now on 10/26/2024 the wife and I decided to drive to ******* for the day and on the way home our Jeep completely broke down on a highway in a construction zone with one lane and no shoulder to pull off to we were stranded and scared for our lives!! We had the police come to keep us calm and had a tow truck come and take care of the situation. We then had it towed to a transmission shop. Now this takes us to 10/28/2024, the shop called me and told me that my TORQUE CONVERTER BLEW! $4500 dollars later to get it rebuilt! Moral of the story is where is the customer service at **** ****** in ******! It's not like I had it for weeks or even months. It was 2 days after the purchase, the light initially came on! Mind you we have another vehicle that the engine light came on after purchase and had no issue getting help from the dealer at the time. Something tells me the code was cleared upon inspection when the prior owner traded it in and I'm the one that was stuck with it and Yark didn't want to put the money into the vehicle to get it fixed. They took my money and ran! It would be nice to get some compensation in return. Be careful who you buy vehicles from.Yark Automotive Group Response

The customer purchased a 2013 Jeep Wrangler AS-IS with over 100k miles on it and signed all necessary paperwork acknowledging his purchase. The customer took his vehicle to another shop to have repaired and we informed him that had he brought the vehicle to our dealership, we would have taken care of the repair at no cost, but did agree to pay half of the repair that was done at the other shop. When the customer called back stating that the check engine light came back on, we informed him again that the other shop is responsible for the repair and that they may have misdiagnosed his vehicle. At this point it is out of our hands, and if we had the opportunity in the first place, we would have made it right. All vehicles are fully inspected before being placed on our lot and like all mechanical items, there is always a chance of break-down or repair that may need to be performed at any interval in its working life-span, no matter the age of the vehicle. Our intentions are always to sell good, quality, reliable vehicles. We simply would not be in business if that is not what we did. We feel we went above and beyond to make this right for him.Review from Daniel B

BUYER BEWARE. It is not the ****** dealer that you think. Briefly, reserved a vehicle last fall due to arrive in spring. Assured in writing that they would not be marking up the vehicle for local buyers. One week prior to delivery told that they are now going to mark them up $5000 above build price. Obviously, not a decision made by the salesperson. My experience with several of the salespeople has been exemplary. This kind of decision is made at the manager level, or possibly the owners. Not sure if this is a policy of this particular dealer, or the entire Yark Automotive Group, but I want everyone to be aware of the dishonesty involved. I passed up several other opportunities thinking that I could trust their word. Please tell everyone you know. I will be passing the word among both hospitals I am affiliated with as well as everyone online. I will never buy a vehicle again from them ( My family has bought more than 10 vehicles from them over the past 20 years). Anyone considering buying from them beware. Even having it written down doesn't seem to insure they will keep their word.Yark Automotive Group Response

***, we apologize that your experience with our dealership has led you to leave us a negative review. Our goal is to give everyone the same opportunity to buy our vehicles, but the market is very competitive, which puts us in a tough situation. The deposit you put down was simply taken to allow you the opportunity to purchase this vehicle and there was never any pricing put down in writing. Please feel free to reach out to our GM, ***, directly at 419-842-7719 or rpiehl@yarkauto.com with any questions you may have regarding market pricing and demand.Review from Hoke H

Do not buy from Cheapest Factory Parts. They sent me the wrong parts and upon returning the parts to them as they requested with their promise of refunding my money, they never refunded money to my credit card. I was told by this company my credit card would be credited within 24 hours to 7 days. It has now been over 12 days and I am seeking legal action.Yark Automotive Group Response

Thank you for your review and bringing this matter to our attention. We have investigated your concerns, and found that after ordering splash guards for your vehicle, they were not the correct style you were looking for. After exchanging for the correct style, it was taking too long for them to come in and requested a refund. Our records show that your card was refunded on January 12th. Please contact us at **************************** if you need more information regarding this refund.Review from Kelly B

Yark Subaru caused $4460.17 worth of damage to my 2023 Subaru Forester after taking it in for an oil change. They offer a free car wash which I politely declined at the end of my service stating it had a very expensive ceramic coating and the automated wash would severely damage it. You cannot wash ceramic coating through a touch car wash, it has to be washed by hand or by a touchless car wash. It was documented I denied the car wash for this very reason. Sadly, they ignored the service sheet and washed my vehicle anyway. They even scratched the inside of my door which is maddening. After confronting ***** the service manager he denied any wrong doing. He kept telling me they wash hundreds of ceramic coated vehicles this way with no issue, despite photo documentation showing the thousands of micro scratches. Yark flat out refused to pay if my original detailer fixed the damage. They would only cover the repair if their 3rd party detailer down the road was assigned. This 3rd party detailer informed **** these scratches were from "filler" being washed out. Sadly, this isn't how ceramic coating works and is a huge red flag. This was an Opti-Coat Pro3 coating that cost over $3,000 to apply. It was done by one of the best detailers in ****. Between their sleazy 3rd party detailer and the professional I used, this resolution was hardly acceptable. I was forced to go through my insurance to ensure this was repaired properly and with a competent detailer. Please, don't let Yark repair their mistakes in house or with "their guy". You as the owner have every right to choose your repair man after they failed. Yark, your response to this grievance isn't the full story. You never admitted fault and offered every excuse that a car wash could never damage ceramic coating. We never set up a repair because I told you again and again, the original detailer would fix the damage. You wanted to go the cheapest route that only worked for you, regardless if this was your mistake.Review from Shauna S

Sitting at a ******** tire after buying a certified preowned car from yark. Had around ****** miles and unfortunately bald tires, didnt realize it till we were losing traction at a traffic light due to slightly wet roads, wasnt raining anymore, just a little wet. We couldnt even leave Toledo before getting tires. Dealership closed at 5, we pulled up at 5:06 to try and see what options they would provide. We drove from **** with a 5 year old to get this truck and now have to drive towards snow. So with no other option but to get home, we stopped at ******** and got hit with a $1400 bill because all 4 tires needed replaced. I see your core values and vision really matter to youcommitted to exceeding our customers expectations every daydefinitely didnt succeed with this customer... Core values - competence, integrity, respect, convenience, leadership, enthusiasmI could name a few you guys missed in our interactions and purchase. Extremely disappointed that you would sell a certified preowned vehicle to us in the winter, with 7 hours to get home in the snow with bald tires and a 5 year old insideno morals. I would look elsewhere or ensure you check the 169 point inspection closer than we did.Yark Automotive Group Response

We truly apologize and regret to hear about your experience and that it has led to your low rating. We strive for integrity and respect in all our interactions, so this is not at all what we want for our customers. In order for a vehicle to be certified, the depth of tread must be at a certain depth and your vehicles tires were well above the certification standard per Stellantis for tires. Please reach out directly to discuss if you have further questions.Review from Melissa G

I bought a new car on May 1. The salesman was friendly through the buying process; however, after I called a few days later he acted like he didn't know who I was. Strike number one. Then a couple months later I realized my blue milk crate, which I kept in the trunk of my used car, was not in my new car. He transferred everything (supposedly) from the used car to my new car. The crate had jumper cables, hats, gloves, maps, etc. I left a message on ********************************** phone to have the milk crate delivered to my house. It never was, and no one called. Strike number two. Then I received an email asking if I'd recommend ***********. I answered honestly, NO, and the survey ended there. Strike number 3. They should have asked why (instead of airing on the BBB site) and used this as a tool for better customer service. My friends had asked me to go to ********************************* in the first place. I wish I had listened to them.Yark Automotive Group Response

We apologize for your experience and that it has led to you leaving us a negative review. We spoke to ************* and he does not recall a crate being in the back of your vehicle, and we believe that our detail department would have informed us immediately if something like this was left in the vehicle. However, being that it has been so long, we would like to offer you a gift card in hopes of resolving this issue. Please know that we do try to serve our customers the best we can and regret any inconvenience or frustration this may have caused you.Review from Glenn B

This place is the absolute worst. They have the luxury of being the only *** dealer/service company for miles. They knew there was a recall for my model. I was unaware of the issue, but they inspected the car charged me **** anyway. Every other dealership I called (************, *******) knew of the issue and mentioned it right away. Also not saying they are racist but their treatment of me during this whole situation sure feels that way.Yark Automotive Group Response
