In August 2021 my yamaha gp1200r waverunner blew one of the 3 cylinders on the engine. It was the cylinder farthest from the oil tank. Engine had 123 hrs. In May/June 2022 Point place power sports installed a new SBT engine with a no fault warranty for two years. The boat ran hot and cold from the beginning and PPPS acknowledge this in one of the receipts. Less than FOUR HOURS on the new engine and the SAME cylinder is blown AGAIN (as per SBT). Engine blown at 127 hrs. Took the waverunner back to Point place power sports to get them to fix it. They tried to blame me and told me they would not help me. Boat went to a different Power sports shop early July 2022. Finally end of August the blown engine was pulled and sent to SBT. SBT states Lean engine, the same 3rd cylinder is blown. New engine was sent to the other power sports shop. Point place power sports also overcharged me as per their receipts which I noticed after I paid. I spent well over $5k on this new engine now and I want my $1620 labor fees refunded. I gave them a chance to make things right and they make false claims and hide from responsibility. I have receipts and documentation as needed. Please help me resolve this issue. Sincerely, **** ******* **** ******* *** ******, **** ***** ************

Hi *** this is in regards to **** *******. This is a mess and her and her guy friend are straight lying and saying we are making false claims and hiding is complete bogus. Here we go. She brought us her Yamaha jet ski and they told us she put 4 stroke oil in it and blew it up and upon inspection the oil lines going to the motor cam off. So we gave her a price to do a new sbt engine. We installed engine and went thru the carbs to factory specs, added break in engine oil to the gas per sbt. I myself tested and did the first break in on the water with the jet ski. Ran great .. her claims of us saying it didn’t run right or hot cold are false. She picked the ski up and they used it multiple times and she even has videos on her Facebook stating that. So here is how the next part went when they blew it up.

The Monday after 4th of july Her guy friend ***** * ****** called us saying it wasn’t running good so he changed the plugs and they took it out to the islands knowing it wasn’t running good and then said had to be towed in . This was on Sunday he said. He kept saying we did something wrong blaming us right away, so I said bring it by let us inspect it and if it was something we did for sure we would cover it. We looked at everything and nothing was installed wrong. Sbt motors come with a overheat sticker on the engine and that was a red flag , somehow the whole engine overheated which would cause it to run lean and blow up. One cylinder was low on compression. This is where he got really pushing and trying to blame us even though we knew somehow they did something to overheat it. What was odd to me when I was under the jet ski inspecting the intake and impeller was ***** was making smart comments like yup you didn’t find anything did you etc. At this point I said leave the jet ski and we will look at it more. We found fresh seaweed in cracks and the side sponsions. Also let me note **** was not involved in any of this and didn’t even get out the car to talk about her ski which was odd.

So at this point we as a shop know the customer overheated the jet ski somehow but they weren’t telling us the whole story . So I am very well known in the area and reached out to a few boaters and found out the truth and all the events that had been left out and happened on Saturday when she was alone and not with ***** . On Saturday I have 3 people that seen her in the weeds seaweed etc. with smoke stem coming from her ski they went over and she said she had been stuck trying to get it out of the weeds and that’s when we knew that’s how it over heated. They towed her in and said seaweed was hanging from it . so my guess is ***** was trying to cover for her and she wouldn’t even get out and tell us the truth. When I confronted them on the phone it got to yelling and told them please come get this ski off my property I will not do any work for someone that lies straight to my face. They continue to leave out anything that happen the day before he took it out and made a story to try and make  it our fault.

I have contacted my lawyer at this point since she ran online and making false reviews about our business and I have multiple witnesses that physically towed her in. They are trying to act like that Saturday never even happen and wants money for labor because of her own mistake. Very unprofessional to do to a small family owned business, we take pride in our work and fix any mistakes we would ever make. Very evil people in this world and I hope they can find it somewhere to actually tell the truth of what she did.

If needed we can have the person that towed her out of the weeds involved.  Thank you for your time
