I ordered a garage metal building Dayton barns company but when I went city of fort myers rejected cause building has to be lap siding I contacted the company to explain I recieved message from sale guy I have proved they don’t do lap siding they sold me something is not approved my county they knew it I asked for refunds cause it’s not my fault I have no response yet all I asked is my money back cause they offering garages are not approved by lee county city of fort myersBusiness response

We actually do lap-siding and have blue prints to show local/county zoning departments. We are fully aware of the regulations down there, based on conversations over the past two weeks between *******, our rep that sold the building, the manufacture that is putting up the building as well as the zoning departments in *******'s area. We need to know the zoning departments contact that ******* has so I can have the blue prints sent over so he can obtain a permit -- then we can schedule this project for him. Should take only a few weeks, as we have been waiting to complete this project for over 6 months at this point.
In summary/action items -- We need the contact of the person who needs the blue prints to get your permit, we will take care of it and let you (*******) know once sent. Then we can follow up or you on the timeline between the submission and receiveing the blue prints. Then we will move to scheduling. I, Eric O****, will be able to schedule you as long as your concrete is ready and permit is in hand.
There will be no refund on the project, as we can meet every need of the customer and the local zoning requirements. Thank you all, please let extend the window on the complaint filed by Mr. ******** - we have zero bad remarks on BBB and would like to keep the record clean.

I signed a Purchase order with ******** ***** Carport, Inc./Dayton Barns Dealer to erect a steel Structure/Garage. 10/12/2021 deposit of $ 2,012.63 was charged to Dayton Barns & All-St Huber Heights OH. - they were to give me blue prints to submit to City of Cincinnati to get building permit. After acquiring permit they would Ship and erect building and final payment would then be made to ******** ***** Carports, Inc.. All ***** ******/owner of Dayton Barns work was done in about an Hour over Skype and messenger. He saw-site of building and we took measurements. He informed me he worked like this all the time. I was also concerned about the gravel lot, although flat it was not a cement slab, and again **** assured me he completed structures like this all the time and would not be a problem. - applied at city permit on 11/4/21. - was told we do in fact need a concrete floor - site-plan - more anchors Tried E-mailing **** on 12/3/21, 12/13/21 no response called 12/20/21 left message asking for refund due to the added cost additional anchors, but more importantly the concrete flooring, no response. Talked to **** with Dayton Barns 2x after mentioning BBB, he asked how much to settle, " I said they could keep 20% of deposit, " he said $ 500.00 he would return to me. I can not agree to that. He is a sales person simply manipulating a computer to get a price on my specifications I don't believe the work he completed for me to be valued at $ 2012.63. All info and prints came from ******** ***** Carports Inc. and they have let me out of Purchase Order. Please if you could help me settle this it would be appreciated. Best Regards,Business response

**** and I chatted on March 4th, the morning of and agreed to $2,000 check being sent in the mail today. Once she recieves the check, then she said she would remove the complaint. Thank you so much for resolving this, it means alot and sorry about the service we provided there. Learning moments for the zoning requirements per county.

I accept the business's response to resolve this complaint. **** Has returned my Deposit as promised on 3/4/22. I would like to remove my complaint against Dayton Barns and thank BBB facilitating a quick and satisfactory outcome. Thank you **** ***** for doing the right thing.

July 2, 2021 Purchased a steel building from Dayton Barns (RTO) Deposit to Dayton Barns of $1,947.60 Was told 6-8 weeks tops for the building to be delivered Call every month and told it was next month that the building would be done Dec 13, 2021 I requested a refund because I had no product I was told there was no building if I wanted one it would cost more money I asked for a refund again for my deposit and was told I could not have a refund To date I have no building and no refundBusiness response

We have discussed this topic off-line. There was a miscommunication between myself (owner) and manager (Mark). We wrote ***** a check in January and didn't put it in the mail. The check is in the mail now, we are good to go. Once she recieves the check, we anticipate a cancelation of the complaint. Thank you everyone and God Bless!Customer response
