Southern Ohio communications services has installed a fiber optic line to my house and has been in service for more than two months now and I have patiently been awaiting them to bury the line in my yard after repeated calls. Still no service has been provided. This is now impeding my access to a portion of my property that I need to work in and is becoming an unruly nightmare because of it. if I cross over the exposed line, it may be subject to breaking would entail another problem altogether. I have repeatedly called about this issue and have been given lip service from Gary the president. But to no avail. Also, they have charged me taxes for a county that I do not live in. And I was told by Gary that the taxes would not be that different than my own. That is beside the point the tax revenue should go to the county in which I live and in which the service is provided. I have been more than patient waiting for two months , and now my only recourse is to reach out to the public utilities commission of Ohio the department of taxation the Ohio state attorney generals office as well as the county auditors. The Better Business Bureau is the only other option I have because I am obviously not being taken seriously. The next step will involve attorneys. I feel I have no other choice.

SOCS wireless is the only available service provider in our area so I have no other option than to use this company for my internet services. The service provided is unreliable; it goes out all the time. I am paying $64 month for shoddy service. When I call to notify of an outage, there is no resolution. All that happens is an apology and am given a ticket number to escalate. The company needs to upgrade to provide a quality and reliable service to their paying customers. On 7/23/22, I paid $95 for a class and I was unable to take it as the service went down about an hour into the class. I have now been out of service since Thursday and it is now Saturday. It came on for about an hour this afternoon and now another outage that can’t be resolved. It is extremely frustrating and annoying. I’d like to see a refund on my bill for the times I am without the service.

Southern Ohio Communications is running fiber optic in our area. They/the contractors they hired caused damage to our property. We were told by socs and the contractor that it was their right to do whatever they wanted on our property because *** joint use agreements. They actually stated they paid *** a lot of money to be able to do whatever they wanted anywhere on our property. I contacted *** and that is incorrect. The joint use agreement states they are required to get their own easements signed for crossing private property. They do not piggy back on ARP’s easement. ***’s joint use department and legal team verified this and verified to socs that they have no right to come into my property without an easement signed by me or my husband. This has made Gary C***** the owner of Southern Ohio Communication Services very angry. He called me today and threatened that he WILL pull wire through my back yard or he will put poles in my front yard he states he has that right. There are already poles across the road from us that he can run his wire on but he refuses to do that because he is just trying to harass us further and threaten us to make us let him come through our back yard. Our home is very close to the road and he states he would put numerous poles in our front yard. This is all out of spite and to try to bully us. As far as I know they have not gotten easements signed on any of the private property they have been going through. I want them stopped from pulling wire through my property ans stopped from putting numerous poles in my front yard to run their fiber optic when there are perfectly good poles on the other side of the road they can use. *** is moving all their poles over there in the near future anyway.
