      Date of transaction was 5/27/2024

Service paid for was a key replacement on my Kawasaki Vulcan 750 vn

      Amount paid was 150$

Service provided me with no key a head lamp detached from motorcycle. A bolt broken off inside of the frame of motorcycle. And the ignition removed from motorcycle. So I paid 150$ for no key.

I paid 150$ for them to take apart my motorcycle and mess it up.

When he called, he said he got it an an auction or something, and he needed a key. he said he didnt know if the key worked on teh gas cap and teh ignition, he said he didn't know. We told him before we went out that he would have to pay for the key.

He said didn't know if the same key worked on both. We went there and made a key for the gas cap. He went back and forth with us over the key. We told him we could fix it for him, but he declined. We explained the s**** was already ut in incorrectly before we worked on it.

We made a key for the motorcycle, but I dont think he took it.

Description: Drove my car to snap and crack to have a 2nd key fob made. They then locked my car out of starting up. When they hooked their computer to my car they make a mistake that is called bricking a car. Had to tow to dealer for repair. Tow and service cost $1,423.20. Mr ****** said he would help with the dealer charges. Mailed my a letter showing the cost and no response from Mr. ******.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We apologize for any miscommunication.

He brought the car and key to our shop. The key did not fully function when he brought the car to us. He was pressing the button with the fob to get the car to start.

He asked us to solve that problem by trying to reprogram his key. And when we attempted to do this per his request that is when the car became locked and was undriveable.

I told him he should take the car to the dealership.

Even though the computer problem was already there and/or caused by the key he provided. Once the car recognized the faulty key, it shut down.

Because it happened at our location, and he couldn't drive the car, I paid for the tow as a gesture of customer courtesy.

I am rejecting this response because:  Everything thing that Mr. ****** is false. I brought the car to them to have a spare key fob made. The one I showed up with was a perfectly working key fob. I have owned the car 3 years with no key fob problems at all. Locked and unlocked doors and the transponder worked to start the car with push to start function. I just wanted an extra key made. Once I arrived the first time, a gentleman that said he was Mr. ******’s father took my working key and his key making computer to my car. After about 15 minutes he came inside the store and asked for more new fobs for testing. At this point this person had already made a mistake and had broken the security immobilizer that is needed for a push to start to work.

After being at the store for 5 hours for a 20 minute job, Mr. ****** did buy me a Uber ride to my house. He has not paid for the tow and has no documents to prove this.

There was no computer problem with my car at the time of repair. Mr. ******’s father did something wrong and broke my car. Even the Germain Dealer said it was a bad repair on the part of Snap and Crack.

      Regards,

      Larry Hughes

Called for service on my vehicle on 10.27.2022. My trucks ignition was turning. They cut a new key and it didn't work. Had the vehicle towed and my mechanic had a new key made by a reputable locksmith. It worked great. I called Snap and Crack to request refund and was rudely told no. All sales final even if it doesn't work.

Thank you for contacting us. I have researched our records and found this happened in Worthington, Oh. He called and said he had a problem with his key. We record our calls, and have a recording advising him that we could not guarantee the key will work as the problem could be either the key or the vehicle, and regardless he would be charged a service fee. He agreed and we went out. It was not a key issue, it was a vehicle issue. He did not take it to a locksmith, he took it to a mechanic. As he agreed to the service fee prior to the service call, we cannot offer him a refund. We're glad he got the issue solved.

I am rejecting this response because: I took it to a mechanic who called their locksmith who made a new key and then it worked. So the problem is that Snap and Crack did not make their key correctly. Poor workmanship is the issue. Why should I pay for something that they did not do correctly.

On Tuesday April 26, 2022 a crack and snap employee came out to make a new key for my 2017 Vulcan Kawasaki s! The employee then broke a key off in my bike ignition! I have been reaching out to this company for them to remove the key! The employees and the owner have been ignoring me! As of May 6, 2022 the broken key is still in my ignition and the company is refusing me any and all services!
