I paid the owner $3,000.00 for 4 months rent and $500.00 for cleaning deposit. The manager stole numerous items out of my apartment and car and locked mailbox including social security card, debit card, disability placard, birth certificate, cellphone attachments, jewelry, makeup, thousands of dollars in gift cards, thousands of dollars in pearls, clothing, and shoes. He wont repair the nasty, slum apartment appliances or toilet flooded carpet either after it flooded in December and it is now February. I reported his burglary to the police and he called me up and yelled at me for filing charges against him with the police. I finally moved to avoid this psychopathic manager, ******, and owner, *****.I called Legal Aid to assist me in recovering the remainder of my February rent and my ridiculous $500.00 cleaning deposit for tiny one bedroom slum apartment which was filthy and damaged and in Ill repair and filled with mold and mildew when I moved into it. ****** the manager has a key to my mailbox and steals my mail and also places a green placard in it that says do not leave mail in this mailbox so that I will not receive my mail, my bank called me and informed me of this fact.Business response

It has come to our attention that Ms. *********************** is facing serious metal health issues, and we are unable to reason with her any longer.

The manager did not steal anything; in fact ,he provide her with a plate and utensils to eat when she first moved in. Office ******* did not find it necessary to intervene as he is aware of the situation.
we have refunded the remaining prorated rent for Feb 2024 and the full amount of the security deposit .
initial deposit was $750, and the Feb pro rated rent refund is $750/26=$25.86 * 21 days = $543.06
The total refund is $1,293.06 ( please see the attached).
Note that we did not charge her anything for move-out. We are thankful she is no longer on the premises.
