One Way Plumbing was contacted by my warranty company regarding service and wasn't paid by my warranty company because their company is inactive. Now One Way plumbing is calling me threatening to put a lien on my home if I do not pay them $400. I should not have to pay the $400 because they did not keep their service updated with my warranty company. They claim they have a recording of us calling them out. That is not true, so I asked them to let me hear the recording, and they said it would take a while to find. I do not owe them anything and I should not have a lien put on my home. As a resolution, I would like a new invoice with $0.00 charges for my records.

Business Response /* (1000, 9, 2022/06/07) */ *********************************************** Case Opened: 2022-05-26 To whom it may concern, ************* was not part of scheduling or handling this job or case until work was complete. ************* and One Way Plumbing (herein refered to as OWP) were the only parties involved. Additionally, no lien was ever filed on this property. One Way Plumbing was never contacted by any warranty company in regards to this case or job. We discontinued work with warranty companies a few years prior due to business practices by warranty companies, and turn down any job that is offered to us by home warranty companies when they present themselves as such. The statement that we would show to be inactive in the warranty companies company register is true and confirms that the warranty company would not have contacted OWP, as we are shown as inactive. OWP showed a missed call from May 2nd from the phone number (***) ********, the caller did not leave a voicemail. OWP returned that call the following morning, and the person that answered scheduled service work on what he calls "my washer" (indicating it is a person living at that property), gives his name as *************, and never mentions a warranty company or anything pertaining to the process of getting work done through a warranty company. ******** clothes washer drain was clogged. OWP used drain machine in washer clean out and vent to clear drain but restriction was too great. As such, OWP crawled under home and located the drain leading from the clothes washer. OWP then took the drain apart and cleared. After which, OWP reassembled the drain and tested all of our work. At the close of the job, after all requested tasks were completed, the customer did not wish to pay the bill and proceeded to inform us about a warranty company. The warranty company was called by ****** at that time in an attempt to obtain payment for bill. The warranty company confirmed they never contacted OWP and were not prepared to pay and approve services performed. OWP did not receive a deductible or partial payment but a promise the warranty company and ****** would get it figured out. The Warranty company has never called or offered to pay for ******** service. OWP at this time must believe the warranty company has declined or stated this is not an approved service as a result stating that the work performed is not responsible to be paid by warranty company and therefore goes back to ******** responsibility. OWP provided phone records, recordings, and pictures. Proof of work requested and performed to validate who was to be charged and the correct amount; however, neither the warranty company nor ****** offered to take responsibility, and it was only after the work was already completed that the warranty company was even mentioned. OWP, in Good Faith, discounted half of all charges so ****** would only be expected to pay 50% of her original bill. One Way wants all of our customers to feel great. One Way is troubled and sorry to See ****** has filed a complaint and does not feel great about her relationship with OWP. Since we have done so much work with warranty companies in the past, OWP is aware that many warranty companies will reimburse paid invoices. Sometimes not the full amount but a portion. We would be happy to speak to warranty company on ******** behalf if desired. Owp feels the interaction with ****** and ************* is in good standing. OWP feels the confusion and frustration may stem from the relationship ****** and ****** have with the warranty company. ****** has stated in the above complaint the warranty company promised something or had ****** to believe something that they failed to provide or do. The only complaint stated by ****** above directed to OWP is the fact ****** does not want to pay for services ****** has received and benefitted from OWP and ****** does not like that OWP has asked for compensation. OWP feels it is fair and appropriate to request compensation for services performed. OWP feels all other complaints should be directed towards the warranty company. The warranty company is who made ****** believe she would not have to pay for services requested and received. No warranty company has any control over OWP or can speak on behalf of OWP. We have attached a copy of the phone call requesting service from ****** to OWP office with no mention of a warranty company. At this time OWP shows ****** has paid the half price amount and is in good standing with OWP. (please see attached) Consumer Response /* (3000, 11, 2022/06/10) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) The response from this crooked business is a lie.
