My wife called and asked for a quote on a repair of a leak in our spa. Instead, we were charged $250 for the detection of a leak that was already found/isolated (and the rock overlying it already exposed). When I explained the situation, the owner admitted that his company had misunderstood and refunded HALF of our money. He repeatedly shifted blame from him and his company and has decided to ignore any future correspondence.Business response

The service that Mr. ****** wife called and asked for was written and sent as a quote for approval and half deposit paid. She then approved a LEAK DETECTION quote, as I mentioned to her that we do not go off of another companies diagnostics. If this was an issue, she could have called back and NOT approved a leak detection quote. She mentioned that they fired the company who came before us and removed the rocks on their spa, upon further investigation, the company they hired was never paid by Mr. **** or his wife ******* ********. After yelling at myself and my tech that came out to perform the leak detection, they made a statement that we went there knowing that they would not be home. My tech physically walked around with Ms. ******** morning of and has a diagnostic report.
To deescalate the situation we refunded half of the quote. Now he is demanding our services for free. Again, this is the second pool company (that we know of) that they are trying to scam to get services for free. On top of that Mr. **** has yelled and cussed at 4 of our employees.
Quote was approved, tech went out and preformed the service and he is threatening BBB, ******** etc to slander our company. They admittedly had several of their friends write terrible reviews about us on ********************** that have never been our clients or used our services. This is one more step in them trying to slander our company because they want free work.
