On July 5th, 2024, I smelled gasoline coming from my vehicle. Gasoline started backing up from the tank of the vehicle. The fire department was called to ensure the vehicle was not explosive, and the car was towed to the dealership located at: ****************************************************************************************. There is an open recall on the vehicle and I was told 4 days later that the recall was unrelated to the gasoline issue. After a diagnosis of the car, I was told it would cost over $2100. To which I only paid the diagnostic fee of $219 and towed the car to an independent dealership for a second opinion. I was told that there was a recall on the vehicle. The mechanics however followed Audis original diagnosis and I had to pay them $1318.45. At which point they told me that after replacing the two parts, gasoline was still leaking. At this point, they also advised me that the issue with them vehicle was due to the recall. It has been a week and I have no vehicle, no loaner vehicle to get make to my medical appointments. As of 7/12/2024, the vehicle was towed back to Audi. The audi dealership lied, causing me to spend a total of $1536.45 so far and I may have to end up renting a car, in addition to this total.Initial Complaint

Re: Notice of Defective Product and Request for Remedies - Audi A5 Sportback I am writing to formally report a distressing incident involving the Audi A5 Sportback that I recently purchased, which occurred during a drive on the *********************. At a speed of 70 mph, the vehicle experienced a sudden and catastrophic failure, leading to a flat tire and burst wheel. It is crucial to note that the vehicle is relatively new, having accumulated only ***** miles. This unforeseen breakdown presented not only a significant safety risk but also caused severe mental distress, as I had to travel over 200 miles on a spare tire, exceeding the recommended limit. The situation was further exacerbated by single-lane highway conditions, resulting in a traffic buildup with approximately 40 cars tailgating, intensifying the potential for a life-threatening scenario. The incident has raised concerns about the durability of both the tire and the vehicle, prompting doubts regarding the overall quality and safety of the components. I am formally requesting a thorough examination of the tire and the vehicle to assess their durability and identify any potential manufacturing or design issues. In addition to the aforementioned concerns, the lack of towing assistance from Audi, despite multiple out-of-pocket payments for towing services, has added a significant financial burden and inconvenience to an already challenging situation. In consideration of the aforementioned issues, I hereby request the following remedies:1. Full warranty coverage for the necessary repairs and replacement of damaged parts.2. Acknowledgment of the mental trauma experienced during and after the incident.3. A comprehensive examination of the tire and the vehicle to assess their durability and identify any manufacturing or design issues.Thank you for your immediate attention to this matter.Sincerely,***************************Initial Complaint

I have a 2021 Audi Q8 that was leased in 2021. Until recently, I have not had any issues with the vehicle outside of customary routine maintenance. My vehicle shut down on me on the highway one week after my vehicle was serviced for an oil change and replenishing of fluids. I had the vehicle towed to the dealership and it was resolved that a new generator was required and would be replaced at the expense of the dealership due to this model of vehicle experiencing common issues with the generator. The dealership had my vehicle for one week and when I went to pick it up, I was advised that there was a major coolant system malfunction. The paperwork indicated that there was coolant all over the engine, which was a lie. The vehicle hasn't had any leaks and the engine is as dry and dusty as it was when the vehicle was towed to *****************.I was later advised that the coolant system malfunction was due to a defective water pump. There have been recalls and a class action lawsuit for Audi installing defective water pumps from 2013-2022.The vehicle had never indicated any issues regarding the water pump or coolant system malfunction until after they installed the new generator and repaired two recalls. Their estimated cost to resolve is $7769. This cost should be incurred by Audi. I escalated this to Audi *** and was advised this morning that they are unable to offer any assistance in this matter due to the mileage on the vehicle. The mileage is not a factor in defective parts that are causing internal mechanical issues. Please assist me in getting this issue resolved. the vehicle was purchased from ***************** in *********, **, but has been recently serviced by *****************. I have attached my correspondences and can provide service records as well. Thank you in advance!Customer response

In over 8 weeks AUDI can not see fit to send the necessary parts to fix their cars that they charge a premium for! But they want their monthly lease payment on a car I can not drive due to their ineptitude in providing parts. Yet nothing is done about this! In 8 weeks a radar sensor can't be located?
