We had a reservation for a hotel stay at this lodge on June 22, 2022. Upon arrival, we retrieved our key from the front desk to which it was laid upon (there were no employees physically there). we found our room and upon entering the room, we found the door k*** to the room hanging off the door. The room was promised to be clean, sanitized, toiletries provided, along with amenities such as A/C, TV, and a refrigerator. None of these listed things were found. The A/C, TV and refrigerator were all broken. Lights were hanging off the wall and the room was not clean. There were no toiletries and no towels at all. Not even a wash rag. The only toiletry they had in the room was a half roll of toilet paper. On top of the room not being cleaned, the bedding was dirty and smelly, clearly not having seen a washer/dryer in a long time, but there was mold in the bathroom along the floor near the shower and in the shower. Even if we had a towel to shower, the shower was unusable. I called to request for a room change or a repair to the front door at the least, along with a delivery of towels. The woman whom i spoke to on the phone denied these requests, yelled, and hung up the phone on me saying there were no other rooms available. I checked the availability online after concluding the phone call and found several rooms still being offered. My repeated phone calls were not answered. The price of the hotel stay to which we paid was $185. That price was to include sleeping, showering, and a comfortable/clean place to put our things for the night. Unfortunately, the time of our arrival was 9:30pm and no other accommodations were in the area that we could book, as the area is quite desolate and the only other hotel was booked. As soon as the sun arose, we left the hotel room and returned the key. I've tried reaching out to the business via phone call and text, to which no reply was been made.Business response

I am sorry for any inconvenience and for the condition of checking in and the room. My name is ************************* I have owned this buisness since 2010, however from feb of 2021 and July 11th of 2022 I had a manager in here as I was traveling. Upon getting back I got rid of the manager and am now back in the Lodge, to bring it back up to speed. I assure you from now and in the future there will always be someone her for a personal check in, no keys on the desk and the rooms clean and sanitary. If you wish to come back another time, I will give you the room of your choice for free. The manager was also not answering our phone but had a cell phone for people to call that is no longer the case. Again I am so sorry for the way you were treated and for no one getting back to you. ***************************, Owner/and now operator. My phones are messed up a little now because manager also cancelled 3 of our lines. That will be rectified by Friday the 15th after 7 PM.
