FOOD forLane County (FFLC) offers programs and services dedicated to reducing hunger byengaging the community to create access to food. FFLC accomplishes this by soliciting,collecting, rescuing, growing, preparing and packaging food for distributionthrough a network of more than 150 partner agencies and distribution sites; throughpublic awareness, education and community advocacy; and through programsdesigned to improve the ability of low-income individuals to maintain anadequate supply of wholesome, nutritious food. They serve a diverse populationof people living on limited incomes, including children, families, seniors andsingle adults. FOOD for Lane County is a member of the Oregon Food BankStatewide Network, partners with United Way of Lane County and is adistribution partner of Feeding America.FOOD forLane County serves the emergency food needs for a population base of 338,000people living in 4,620 square miles comprising both urban and rural LaneCounty.
