We had a room for July 13, 2024 at the Hotel Eastlund in ********* *******Saturday was very hot. We returned to our room at around 11:30 pm and the air conditioning was not working. Our room was 80 degrees or more.I called the front desk. The gentleman at the front desk was dismissive and rude. He told me there was nothing he could do but suggested that I "open a window." It was as warm outside as it was in our room. The solution of "opening a window" was not helpful at all. By this time it was nearly midnight.The next morning, I contacted the manager, ***************** and told him of our issue, requesting reimbursement for our very uncomfortable stay. His response was that he would not refund our stay because the room was "occupied and the **** appeared to be working the next morning". The logic of that statement escaped me completely. Regardless of the **** working the next morning, it was NOT working the previous day and night. If any staff had bothered to come to our room to check on us, they would have been able to verify that information.In a follow up email from Mr. ******** he tried to blame his front desk employee's rudeness on that employee's stutter. I informed him that the employee never stuttered when he informed me that he was unable to do anything about our air conditioning and to "open a window".I was then able to reach the General Manager, ******************** and he was also unwilling to compensate me, citing an "eco friendly" feature on the ** unit (something that was not posted in the room or communicated to us in any way) that shut off after there was no movement in the room for 2 hours. I was willing to accept a refund of our stay. However, Mr. ********* and ****************** persistent refusals to correct the situation, and their illogical excuses have made this experience the worst I've ever had at any hotel. Their issue seems to *really* be that I left bad reviews for their hotel and thus it does not benefit them to refund me.Initial Complaint

Booked this hotel same day I was flying in, February 17th. My flight got in late around 11 also had to get a rental which took time. Decided to grab some food and drinks before heading to the hotel with my friend who is handicap. We arrived at the hotel around 330 am, was told to park in the hotel parking deck it will be $36. Never having to pay for parking before I was shocked and repeated the price back to the valet. She replied that there were other options and I went and found a parking spot on the street. I get my friend and our things out the car while the check in receptionist is watching us from the door of the hotel. When we make it inside she asks me what she can help with. When I let her know I am checking in she tells me the reservation was cancelled at 3am because I didnt show up, despite not knowing my name or reservation number. I asked why I didnt receive an email or phone call. I was told because it wasnt on file. Then I asked her if thats the policy to just cancel someones reservation and she replied yes every night and that because she heard me yelling at someone outside that she refused to check me in. I asked who was I yelling at and she replied she didnt know and that she was going to ask me to leave the premises. I am frustrated and appalled. Long story short this receptionist was on a power trip. We never got any type of accommodations for being mistreated, not even an apology from the manager who I went back to the hotel to speak to and get my receipt that the receptionist refused to print out when I asked before I left. The valet and herself made sure we saw them laughing at us while we got back in the car at 4am to figure out where to book next to finally get some rest and begin our day trip in ********.Initial Complaint

My experience here is trash I fell I tried call help after waiting 1:45 one hour 45 minutes. I was told to go to Uber the white guest here got to order food but I was told go Uber the hotel guess was treated way better the hotel valet told me there is no one at front desk after paying ****** a night I had go target to buy my own cleaning supplies to clean my own room I wonder how many other guess did this even after I called on my phone because they phone is broken at ****** night hotel with dirty showers and bathroom floors and toilet.I called food in well tried I asked the neighbors which where white room service delivered to them and they got they food not only did I clean my own room but after I called from my phone I was told go Uber at 11::00pm which the hotel restaurant closes at 12:00 thus is trashy ****** night at least at motel 6 the bathroom clean and free breakfast ***** night I will not stay at this racial profile hotel ever again I never thought my skin color was that big of deal until I came to this hotel they made black lives feel like they was on bottom of they shoe they treated other light color ********** better and with respect. Im a business owner with plenty of rental property but I guess black money no good here ******** got debit card no cash from black ****** and u get treated as If u are trash I got photos
