I hired *** to blow out my sprinklers at the end of Fall 2022. I again hired them to turn my sprinklers back on this last month. They came out and informed me that I had 2 broken valves and that my back flow unit also needed to be replaced. They them sent me a new bill adding a trip fee which the trip free should be included in the charge already. They did perform a back flow test while here which I paid for. It failed. They sent me an estimate for over ******** to repair valves, turn on water and replace the back flow unit. I had to fight with them about charging me a trip fee which eventually they did remove. I paid the back flow test fee. I had another person come look at the issues. He agreed that 2 valves are broken. He found a wire cut on one of my valves. He also found an underground pipe leak which needs to be fixed. I have been told that these issues occurred because they didn't actually blow out my lines last Fall. I've owned my home for almost 30 years and have always had my lines blown out to prevent this kind of damage. I have never had this happen prior to hiring RAM for the first-time last fall. I feel like their negligence caused these issue which I am now having to pay someone else to fix.

      Hello,

********************* contacted us in Sept of 2022 to ask that we blow out her sprinkler system. The service was performed on 10/17/2022. In March of 2023 ***** contacted us to get her system turned on and asked us to perform a backflow test. The **** performed the service on 4/25/23 and let the ***** know that her backflow test had failed and that we were not able to activate her system due to OLD ****** valves that were leaking. I sent her an invoice for the backflow test and a trip charge because we could not charge her for the start up since we were not able to perform the service but because the **** spent 30 mins troubleshooting I billed her for his time. The total bill was $75 for the backflow and $55 for the ****s time (trip charge). ***** was really upset that she was being charged for the ****'s time since she feels like the backflow service she was charged would cover everything. After speaking with the owner, he agreed to waive the trip charge and just bill her for the backflow test. We sent her a quote on 4/26/23 for the replacement of the valves, a new backflow and a backflow test. She responded to us on May 9 and said ,"I have had 2 different people tell me that my valves broke because of improper blow out.  Your business supposedly blew out my system last fall.  After this and how you were trying to charge for a trip fee, I will no longer be supporting your business". (attached email) I wasn't sure what to say back to her as she didn't give us an opportunity to help her figure out what was going on with her system she basically said she didn't want to work with us again. I responded back with, "sounds good *****, we wish you all the best" On May 10th, 2023 ***** went on ******** asking for her peoples opinions about her irrigation system. She tagged ** in the post and then proceeded to go on to our business ******** page and tell her we own her money and that we messed up her system. She then sent a text to our system on 5/10 at 8:10 PM and said, "You owe me $400.00 so far. I'll take you to court! my response was,"*****, while I understand your upset but there is no reason for all the online banter. You didnt even give us a chance to make it right you just sent us a message saying you didnt want to do business with us. If the issue with your valves was because of us we would most definitely make it right. Your quote wasnt just for the valves your Backflow needs to be replaced" I've uploaded the text feed for you to read. Because we couldn't change our schedule around at 9:04 PM she did not want us to come out and figure out what exactly happened to her system. We would have made it right if it was something that we did to cause her backflow damage. Because her system is older it's truly hard to say what happened especially when there are faulty valves but we needed a SR **** to go out and do an assessment in which we did not get the opportunity to do.

I am rejecting this response because: 2 different landscapers have said that my system was not properly blown out last year by RAM and that is the reason my valves broke and I ended up with a broken underground pipe.  I have now spent $480.00 so far having it fixed.

      Sincerely,

      *********************

***** did not give us the opportunity to fix the issue that took place at her property. We  offered and she declined and asked us to just pay invoice. We will not pay an invoice when we could of just fixed the issue ourselves, given the opportunity. On her original quote for her blowout, it reads, winterizing your system will not guranteee there will be freeze damage. When the tech tried to complete her start up there was no pipe damage and her system had not been activated by us to prevent further damage. If someone else tried to start her system and left it running, that could cause secondary damage.

I am rejecting this response because: I didn't/don't trust RAM to continue to work with my system after they tried to over bill me and then sent me an estimate for over $1,000 to fix the problems they caused.  "If someone else tried to start her system and left it running, that could cause secondary damage" RAM was the only people that had touched my system during the time they supposedly blew out my system to the time they came to turn my system back on which was when all the damage was found.

      Sincerely,
