Awful company to work with, terrible results. Do NOT HIRE! We worked with them (unfortunately) to install two heat pumps. The sales *** arrived and took us through the process of where things would be installed etc. Then the technicians came out (after we paid a deposit) and told us all of these locations were not permittable and the only place was in the front of the house to install the condenser. After installing in the front, *** came out and said this location was NOT up to code. Then the condenser stopped working and it took Sunset 8 separate visits to figure out what was wrong. Turns out they just had the wrong wires connected. They didn't bother compensating us for the 8 visits that we had to take off from work, let alone all of the back and forth. Terrible customer service, terrible company.Review from Pat K

Do not use this business. Working with them has been everything opposite of smooth. We are in the process of firing them. They are so disorganized :1) The wrong technician shows up without any supplies or 2) they forget to call PGE to shut off power (which they told use they had done and it was a 6 week wait) or 3) the electrician shows up without anyone else and has not work order and cant continue for 6 weeks. install if our generator. Clearly this is a joke we have been subjected to for 3-1/2 months. The job was supposed to take 2 weeks. Do NOT use Sunset.Review from Greg M

Deserves zero stars but system doesn't allow it.Sunset sent out a "tech" to check our system, he proceeded to tell us the whole system had failed, (he's a sales guy made to look like a tech).Next day arrived as planned and arrived with the wrong products, when questioned they said proper equipment would be delivered, mid install I looked, all equipment was incorrect. I called the install manager, he came to site, they removed it all and left, returned the next day with new equipment.After install was complete I verified the A/C unit was still incorrect (but at least the correct size this time!) Install manager advised the manufacturer had forced them to take the incorrect model (recently discontinued) impossible to have been overnighted as was a holiday and the manufacturer was closed!I would advise anyone looking for new HVAC equipment, don't do business with Sunset HVAC!They also didn't follow up and I lost my $1,000.00 rebate - Stay away, you've been warned.
