On March 3, 2023. I entered into a contract with Jason. On April 4th Jason started the job which was to remove and do a new walkway in front and side of the house. He suggested to remove a landing and to fill with stones. I agreed with the condition if I didn’t like it he would redo it. I was also concern with aesthetics and liability. Because jason was all over the place. I text him to make sure only the pad in front of the steps was stones. But no he poured stone on the pad on the curve it was everywhere. I stressed I didn’t like it. His reply was I didn’t charge you for it! Once I got there to inspect the final job it was a disaster. He put stone on my curb with out permission when I saw it in person I was terrified of how it looked. He said it was a freebie. I said no it’s a liability take it off. Then The front lawn was in total disarray chopped everywhere I stressed he has to fix that. There was no reason for him to damage the lawn like that. one walkway Pad was not finished he filled it with stones. He refused bluntly to fix his mistake. I didn’t like how messy his job was on the pad. I asked him to remove the stones and donate them. That was settled by him leaving the stones the way it was and not charging me for the pad removal approximately 6x7. I told him he has to fix the lawn. Also He broke the rail from the steps and the side siding which was later brought to my attention by my sister. Jason did said he would fix the lawn his words were “I’ll make it presentable “on his word I released the check which he cashed right away. I asked him on 4/10 if he fixed the lawn he text I put the clumps in the hole. I advised him via text to fix the disaster he did or I’ll hire someone to fix it and send him a bill. He refused.

Yes just one question why would I tell a homeowner that I will do.something and it will cost me.money and if you don't like it I will redo it that makes no sense. I have all the messages and pictures and you agreed that it would be the cheaper route because u didn't want to spend the money. You liked all the pictures when I sent them untill I told you I wasn't going to be the contractor to replace your porch. The right way to do it would of poured the new pad but you didn't want to spend the mo ey so I told you to go with the rocks for now. It's sad because your just another slum lord that is trying to get over on contractors. I gave you a deal and you tryed getting more like fixing the lawn if I was going to do that it would of been in the contract and you would of got charged for it. But like I said just another landlord that is trying to get over on contractors for work.  Now reread our conversation with the pictures and you tell me if that is a unhappy customer by saying wonderful and seeing the pictures

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********* and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.

This complaint is mainly about lots of things but my major complaint is my lawn my handrail and siding.  When a contractor does work for a client he is to have respect for the property and the responsibility to fix what he brakes. This man was paid in full on his word that he would come and fix it. The short clip will say he would fix it.  Yes I stated wonderful that he started and the sidewalk it self was being done.  We did have several conversations back n forth about the gravel and liability it holds. I told him to take the stones out because it would become a liability if someone trips. Also told him remove them and donate them he refused. I am a consumer that paid in full.  I didn’t ask for anything other than a professional job and that is what I deserve.  I am asking he goes and repair what he broke that’s all.

      Regards,

      ***** *********
