Eshenaurs came out to install a water heater and cut the gas line resulting in a gas leak. They also did not properly install the line, reused the old flexline, and did not check their work for gas leaks. The gas leak resulted in my illness for 2 days before discovering the problem. Also ill were my daughter and mother. I have two small children in the house so this was a very scary situation for us. Eshenaurs is not taking any responsibility and avoiding our callsBusiness response

We, W.C. Eshenaur and Son, Inc. were at *** *******'s on 12/02/2021 to replace a leaking Water Heater. At some point they smelled gas and called *** to investigate the issue. On the first visit from *** they could not find anything. Then at some point again *** came out for a second time and was able to find a small leak in the pipe. Once they found the leak they called W.C. Eshenaur and Son, Inc. to come back on 12/04/2021 and our Technician on call responded and replaced about 8 feet of flex gas pipe at no charge for the Labor or Material that was used on the visit. Total cost for that visit would have been $439.70. Typically we do not replace the gas pipe that supplies the Water Heater.
The clamp and damage to the pipe shown in the picture was installed when the house was built. Yes, we did disconnect the gas line at the Water Heater and yes by moving the line probably caused it to start leaking.
We, W.C. Eshenaur and Son, Inc. did offer *** ******* our apologies and offered a $100.00 credit towards the cost of the Water Heater Installation. We feel if they would have called at the first sign of this issue that this would have been avoided.Sincerely,
