In January of 2022 - we contacted John Cipollone to come to our house. The ********** heating cool unit was broken. We previously reached out ****** ******* *** ******* about the unit, who informed us it was broken and there was an issue with the Defroster. They then informed us that to contact John Cipollone as they could see they installed the unti, and it would still be under warranty. So we called John Cipollone - informed that of the issue and that it should be covered under warranty. They came out, there was no mention of a fee before they came and no mention of a fee during the visit. Further, no invoice was sent showing any balance due related to this visit. In March of 2022, once they received the new unit, they came out and installed it. Again no mention of any fee which it would cost to replace. Since we moved into this house and didn't have the equipment installed we did have a copy of the warranty so didn't know if labor was covered or not. On or about a week later we received a invoice for $2,000, which covered the installation, (approx 12 hours of labor based on the time they were at our house). Note this bill was just for the $2k, no previous work or visits. Obliviously when receiving the bill we were surprised as fees had not been discussed before. My wife called them and they moved the bill down to $1,800 as per conversations with them that is the standard install charge. Now fast forward to today, May 20, 2022. I called to confirm the final balance due, I wanted to call as no new invoice was sent with an updated amount. I also wanted to confirm the interest penalty as we were paying late. When they broke down what was due to me they mentioned there was a $200 charge due from January when they serviced the unit. Note this had never been brought up on a previous call when we talked about the $2k fee or included on any of the invoices. I believe the service for Jan and any interest penalty be removedBusiness response
