This business provided oxygen for me after covid. I notified them that I was released from using the oxygen and my Dr. said they notified them at least 30 days ago, but they wont pick up their equipment and are still charging my insurance company. They are ripping off insurance companys.Business response

Dear ******* *******,
The patient was initially set up for Oxygen therapy on 12/11/2021 from **** hospital. To discharge with oxygen orders that was prescribed by the doctor in charge of his care. All the information we received was correct from the hospital that is required by the insurance to set up a patient for Oxygen therapy. It is required for Oxygen to be either discontinued from the doctor who is doing his follow-up care after his discharge from the hospital with a Rx to be faxed to us for our files or we have the patient sign an against medical advice form for our records, and is given to the doctor whom is in charge of his care. This is because Oxygen therapy is considered life sustaining.
Upon review of the claim we have never received a discontinue of Oxygen order. We tried on several attempts to contact the patient to see whom the doctor was who was doing his follow-up care so we could call the office ourselves. With no response from the patient, we called the hospital to see if they had a record of whom the patient was following up with upon discharge from the hospital. Once we received that information, we called the doctor's office and asked for the discontinue order to be faxed to us, the order is dated 02/08/2021.
We tried once again to call to pick up the Oxygen, with no response. So we resorted to send our delivery drivers to stop by the house for 3 days in a row until they were finally able to pick up the Oxygen Therapy from the patient's home on 02/11/2021.
We only billed for 2 months of services to his insurance company. We stopped billing on 02/08/2022, as dated on the 02 discontinue order.

Better Business BureauI have read the response from Choice and found several lies in they're response. My Doctor contacted them 3 times to end the oxygen, and I think I can believe them before Choice. There is no numbers incoming on my phone that showed that they contacted me to pick up the oxygen. The driver said he came one other time to pick up the oxygen not 3 times. It is gone now so I'm satified.
