Buyer Beware! Everything about our transaction with his company was wrong. They deceived us, they did not do any of the Covid protocols they said they would on their website, they charged us FOUR times from what we were quoted, they have not provided any business documents about a 2-year warranty they said we would “get” and last week I was told verbally from customer service that NONE of the services are refundable or guaranteed. I have been asking for 45 days for a Manager to contact me, and have not heard yet from anyone. I have tried to find out who the manager is, but to no avail. The day of the service, we were contacted prior to them showing up to say they needed us to pay by Venmo or check because they said their “credit card machine is down”. We chose Venmo, but at this point I wish we would have paid by a check because we would have stopped payment on it. A small clean out service was done, then more upsell conversation about putting in a screen for our dryer vent outside that would cost $45 which we declined. He did install a new dryer vent tube but never addressed the ceiling that had the water stains from the area that was damp. As soon as we paid, the service technician named ‘Peter’ was out the door as fast as he could. Why did any identification when he showed up. But because we had just received a phone call for him that he was there, we knew it was him. We should’ve known from that moment that something was wrong. They came in an unmarked van, did not show any identification and when we finally got the invoice from oyr technician, it stated nothing about a warranty promised, or provided any of the service details. We feel this is a scam company, for 45 days I’ve been trying to reach someone because I would like to have a partial reimbursement since we are not satisfied with the transaction, and I have talked to Rod and Sheena from the phone number on the website several times and they tell me they will provide documentation from the company on the warranty or the level of service agreements. I have received nothing. Now that I looked on the BBB, I see that it is a total scam with very unfavorable reviews similar to mine. Some even worse. They did come out and take a look at our dryer vent and immediately started to upsell us. Instead of $89 we were charged $429. I don’t know how 5-star ratings are happening for this company. I even reached out to the person I paid on Venmo and he said he has not been with the company for years and for me not to contact him. I also looked at the Warminsterducts website. The name of the company that I thought we were getting service from, was different from the invoice that we received, which is different than the email that we did get from Certified Green Team. Although he did clean out our dryer vent, with this small rotator brush, the reason we called them in to look at a water stain on our ceiling was never addressed. Understanding now, this was truly a scam company, I do have phone numbers of the customer service department I’ve been calling, the service technician, and that previous owner who wants nothing to do with the company. Buyer beware. I wish there was more I can do. I will see none of my money back, but was concerned when I saw these great reviews, something is up and I just needed to put the truth out there that this may not be a legitimate company. And was concerned when I saw all the 5-star reviews online, but for me, I can only say, I can only give her 1-star because the dryer vent was cleaned out, but none of the documentation of paperwork we asked for was provided. And at this point, we are honestly don’t know who they are. I’ve seen reviews all over the country for them, but if you try to find Warminsterducts, there is not a physical address, and it is very concerning to us.
