Harry Davis Auctions is the most unethical business I have ever dealt with in my 15 years in business. Spent 47,000 plus 10,000 on forced rigging at an auction here in Los Angeles. This is the worst packaging job I have ever seen. They just threw everything in crates with 0 packing. Tons of items are broken, one crate weighs over 3500 pounds and not one piece of packing, motors piled up pumps thrown. Please see pics. I am out 1000’s in damages here. The company and rigger just ghost you and don't respond.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

The auctioneer is forcing you to use the rigger and will not respond back to any emails sent to them.
      Regards,

The auction company is charging and forcing you to use their "exclusive rigger" They add the charge on top of the purchase and you have no other option. They are saying this is because of Covid but really the auction company is making extra money on this. You are not allowed on site to pickup the items only their rigger is allowed. I received tons of broken items because the auction companies rigger just abused the items and has no real business or contact info.

On Sep 10th I paid $1,180 usd for 2 lots won at an auction celebrated by Harry Davis and Company. 1 lot was a small scale and the other lot was a box with a couple of valves. Harry Davis hired a rigger for the removal of the objects. On Sep 13th I paid $170.78 to the rigger. Rigging fee for the Rigging, disconnect, and loading of Lots On Sep 21st the rigger email saying he was going slow and they will notice when lots are ready to be picked up My lots were on boxes, I provide my FedEx number in advanced for the shipping At the end, they could not make FedEx work and I sent a truck for pick up. Do NOTE it is incredible hard to contract a LTL (less than a truck load) for just 2 boxes. When the truck show up, the rigger forgot to load one lot and the truck left without it I've tried to re hire another truck but the cost is way more than the lot. Joe J**** from Harry Davis tried to get a truck but he could not get it (I got all email as proof) I tried to contact Harry Davis directly and ask for a refund since I have complete my part of the deal which was pay my lots, pay the rigger put the truck on site; and they failed to load one of my lots. I have attached 2 documents: - Invoice of Harry Davis paid in Full - BOL of the trucking company that show up where it clearly states that only 1 lot was loaded out of 2

      We received a notice of a complaint ID ******** from a Mr. ***** *****.

Mr. ***** participated in an auction we conducted on September 9, 2023.
Until February 13, 2023 we had no correspondence since October 18, 2022. On October 18, 202 we asked him to confirm if the rigger loaded the additional items. We had no response until February 13. The email below:

      Subject: Re: Paddle ****
Hello Ryan, I have been told by my team that Harris failed to refund my money for one lot. To refresh your memory I did win 2 lots and when I put the truck you rigger failed to load 1 lot. And it was impossibe to get another truck.
So I am asking you politely to refund the money I paid for those valves.
      Regards,
      *****
If there is an issue we must investigate to ensure that the customer did not receive the information. We reached out to the company handling the removal. We did not get a response from them. Rather than dragging this process on we began the refund process this week. Ms. R*** from my company began the refund process on February 14, one day after he notified, while we investigated his claim.

However, rather than allowing Harry Davis and Company to work this process out with Mr. *****, he reported us to the Better Business Bureau in an attempt to tarnish our reputation on February 16, 2023.
I do not feel Mr. ***** has been forth right to the BBB and rather provided facts that are more favorable to himself. Further, the company he purchased under was ************* ********** ********* Inc. He as an individual who listed the complaint was not the actual buyer.
Needless to say, a refund has been processed through our accounts payable and was released today (our normal check payment day). I kindly ask that this matter be marked resolved with out any further public comment, as my name is listed in the complaint and while I do work for this company, I would much rather be kept of a complaint for a personal reason. Finally, I did not see his email, but please recognize that it is above and beyond our job and responsibility to try and find him shipping on his behalf. .
I am very disappointed in this notification and I appreciate your time and support in ensuring this matter is resolved.

      Thank you,
      Joseph J****
