On June 8, 2024 I was a passenger in a vehicle being driven by a friend. During our travels the lower control arm, driver side front broke. I called AAA and Kendall Towing was dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, the tow truck operator exited his vehicle and went over to the disabled ***** CRV. The tow truck driver confirmed it was a broken lower control arm. When the lower control arm broke, it caused the front, driver's side wheel to rest against the inner wheel well, The vehicle was not drivable, hence the call to AAA. I advised the driver that I live 1 1/2 blocks away, my garage is located in ***************************. While waiting, I retrieved my vehicle from my home. Upon arrival, I advised the tow driver to place the vehicle IN FRONT of my garage. The tow truck driver loaded the ***** CRV onto the flat bed and followed me to Osprey Way. Upon arrival, I got out of my car, stopped the driver and told him once again to place the vehicle in front of my garage. The tow truck driver placed the car about 7 feet across from my garage, in the middle of the road. I told him he could not leave the car there (obstruction of traffic). The tow truck driver then retrieved a lime green wheel skate from the tow vehicle. He then instructed the owner of the car to drive the car over the skate, in an attempt to move the tire from the inside wheel well, the tire would turn and go right back to inside the wheel wheel. After the 6th time, I told him this is not working, the tow truck operator replied "I know what I'm doing". He instructed the owner to attempt to drive over the wheel skate again. When the owner of the vehicle complied, the wheel turned, this action broke the axle and the ball joint. As a result of the tow truck driver NOT following my clear directive to put the car IN FRONT OF MY GARAGE, another Kendall employee had to come to the scene to assist with reloading the now significantly damaged ***** CRV in front of my garage - I do have video from the scene.Business response

Thank You for the follow up call in regards to the complaint ,we towed this car for AAA the person claims we damaged to the vehicle during tow but after a joint effort with AAA damage team and reviewing the incident determined that the damage was not caused during the towing of this car and case was closed with AAA .

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Your tow truck driver came made Mr. ******* drive over a wheel skate 6 times after he did not follow my clear directives to place the disabled vehicle (hence the call for the tow) in front of my garage. Instead he placed it in the middle of a heavily traveled alleyway. *** had no intentions of paying for the damages from the onset. The *** *** refused to make contact for over a month, when he did, he based his denial of the claim on a photo of a 1 inch piece of rust on the ground under Mr. ********* vehicle. Then he told me your business has photos taken on 6/8/2024 by the tow truck driver. When I asked to see the photos taken by the Kendall Tow truck driver, the *** *** denied the claim. Bottom line is the lower control arm broke. Your driver arrived on scene, hostile upon arrival. Your driver confirmed the lower control arm was broken. I gave your driver a directive to place the car in front of my garage on ****************** after he place the car on the tow bed. Upon arrival to **********, he placed the vehicle in the middle of the road. Instructed the owner of the vehicle to drive the vehicle over a wheel skate 6 times in an attempt to move the tire from against the inner wheel well to a drivable position. On the 6th attempt, the axle broke and the ball joint dislodged. Then a second Kendall Tow truck ******** arrived on scene and in an attempt to place the now severely damaged vehicle in front of my garage, as I instructed the 1st tow driver TWO times to do - the vehicle was damaged more when the second attempt to place the vehicle in front of my garage was performed by the two tow truck ********s. The second tow driver to arrive on scene immediately denied fault even though he was overheard by Mr. ******* questioning the first ******** about why would he place the vehicle in the middle of the road he he arrived to assist with moving the vehicle out of the road.

This claim was also invesigated with AAA rep ********* was determined this damage did not happen during the tow parts claiming to be damaged were the reason car was being towedCustomer response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewedThe car was towed because of a broken driver side lower control arm. The tow driver put a car that was not drivable in the middle of Osprey Way after I told him TWICE to put it in front of my garage. The further damage occurred when the tow driver instructed the owner of the vehicle to drive the car out of the middle of the road. AAA 'investigated' 2 months after the incident based on your organization's word and a picture. *** *** did not examine the vehicle in person. *** conducted a faulty investigation. The Kendall tow truck operator severely damaged the vehicle. I have proof his negligence caused significant damage. If the cost of parts and labor are not paid by your organization I will pursue legal action.

Got a tow from AAA from Kendall towing on Forbes ave,on Sept 12 , called on the next day ,spoke to someone about getting a receipt for my tow , gave him all my info,never got anything. Emailed two days later never got a response or anything.I would like to turn this in to my insurance co. to get reimbursed for the tow. Bad customer service.Business response

I called ******* ask him what he needed got all his information from him and faxed the receipt to him and apologized for my office staff not sending to him.
