I hired WebDesign Matter to create a logo for my business. They were very quick to make the logo as I wanted and I selected the one I wanted. As we finalized it, the second to last logo had one stripe missing from the American flag shown in the background. I pointed this out and they put the stripe back in and I approved the logo. During the development of the logo, they continually tried to talk to me about purchasing their services to make a website and I told them I wanted only the logo now, and was not ready for a website. They called me repeatedly to discuss the website. I quit answering and asked for the final logo in the various file extensions. They sent me the second to last logo with the missing stripe, not the one I approved. At that point, they wanted me to pay them nearly $1000 for them to "Copywrite" my logo for life. I contacted the United States Trademark and Patent Office, who told me that logos are Trademarked, not given a Copywrite. I told WebDesign Matter I would trademark the logo myself, did not want to purchase a website, and that this logo sent to me with the missing flag stripe was not the approved logo and that I wanted the approved logo in all the file extensions, and the pantone colors used in the logo so I could match it in inks for forms. At this time, I was told that my file has been open too long and they no longer have my approved logo, but for an additional $50 they would "recreate" it for me. At this time I told them to send the logo or I would file numerous complaints as I was not getting any product for the fee I paid. They said I am threatening them and will hear from their legal team. I have kept the emails from the transaction and can provide them as needed. Their point is that I kept my file open too long and did not respond to their numerous calls. My point is that they provided me with a final product of the unapproved logo, and refuse to provide me with the final product of the approved logo.Business response

Dear BBB,
It's my apologies for the inconvenience, but as a company we have our rules and policies to follow however the client placed the order on Feb 16th as a company we offer time frame to complete the request with-in 4 weeks time however the client was not able to get in touch due to their personal reason and after 3 months she appeared with the request of final version of logo we never entertain the client so took that much time to respond, As per our client request we have already managed to get her logo sorted and shared the requested files with her you can see the attached email which states that we have provide her the service that she was asking for so I think every is done from our end and we don't need any further escalation on the request.
