Josh came to give an estimate on some landscaping work my mother wanted done to her property. She had an embankment that was eroding and she was looking for a solution. We discussed in detailed conversation what the problem was and how Josh felt he could resolve it. It was decided that the best way would be to first spray weed killer on the embankment, then cover that with a commercial strength barrier before covering it all with stone. Also discussed was the addition of 2 to 3 rows of steel edging to keep the stones in place and a catch basin to be placed at the top and bottom of the embankment to keep water from the neighbors rainspout from flooding her property. We feel Josh took advantage of a 91 year old widow. Initially he said he would not take a check only cash or credit card. Using a credit card was an upcharge. Finally he said he would do the job and accept a check only if she paid in full at the beginning. Although she was leary of paying in full Josh guaranteed he would deliver what was promised and waited on her property for her to say yes. Josh did not show up on the scheduled date and canceled two other times before finally doing the job. Josh cashed the check almost immediately and so there was no way for us to cancel the check. He never put in the upper catch basin claiming cement from the neighbor was in his way. He only put 1 row of the steel edging in instead of the double or triple row stating the ground was too hard and that he guaranteed the stones would stay in place. In less then one year, the barrier is coming loose, stone have slid down the embankment leaving bare spots and the weeds are growing. My mother has tries several times to reach Josh and cannot get through. She feels he has blocked her number. Although the price included all the work stated he did not refund her any money from the estimate of steel edging nor catchbasin and wanted to charge her another $500 to extend a short portion of the job.

We had a contract with DJ landscaping this year for 32 mowings {$40 a mowing}. We never got that far due to weather, but I did pay for 28 mowings. After 2 months ( 4 times each month } they only showed up twice in June and didn't inform me why until after the second missed week. They did come 5 times in July but only 3 times each in August, September, and October. At the beginning of October I said they were going to owe me money at the end of the year, but wanted me to pay them anyway. Then come November they asked if I wanted any mowing, and I said yes. Then they asked for payment again and I said that I was already 4 mowings paid ahead of them mowing my grass. They disagreed but after a while they mowed once in November. I sent them all the dates they mowed and How many times I paid which I have receipts for. I even said I would pay the tax for 1 mowing they did not charge tax for by accident at eh start of the year. A week ago he said he would get back to me that day, but didn't. Today I texted again and he claims he responded, but I never got one from him. He sent a screen shot of one, but I never got one so I don't know what he did there. I wanted to take care of this 2 months ago, but he has not helped. He says they have GPS tracking that proves he was here, but I know when it was cut. I just want my money back that is mine.
