I made a reservation over the phone for cabin *** at Pioneer Park. My family was at site ***. I had a handicap senior and a special needs child with me and we specifically booked these sites. I received my receipt which specified my cabin in the mail from the owner. My family checked in to site *** and they were told that my cabin *** was double booked and they gave my reservation away. The park never called me to inform me of this. I tried calling for an hour to see if I could just get a refund and not come if I couldn't have that site because of the handicaps we had to be next to each other. Since nobody answered I was afraid they would keep my money so I went to the park. The manager Betty J* was very rude and disrespectful and never apologized. She said she could put us in a diffetent cabin but it was on the other side of the park. She could take off the holiday charge and give me a golf cart for the weekend so we could travel from site to site. The golf carts had lights, however later found out that we could not drive them at night. So we could not sit around the camp fire or make smores with the rest of the group as planned since the two that needed it due to the distance couldn't use it. We never received a list of activities so missed everything that was scheduled for the weekend. The cabin they moved us into had no hot water. When standing in line for ice cream everyone ahead of us ordered without any issues. Yet when it came to our turn the manager, Betty J*, walks up and places a scale on the counter and has the staff weigh our order. Not sure why when she clearly seen everyone else being served and there wasn't any problems. I don't know why she seemed to dislike us. I've gone there for years and never had an incident like this. I did not pay for this cabin or service for sure. This is not the vacation we planned for. My children missed out on the camping experiences. We are missing from most of the family pictures. I'd like a refund.
