Management was extremely rude in handing an issue. I support a gentleman who is wheelchair bound. He was receiving a haircut at the ******************** in the same shopping center. He had dropped his wallet out side the restaurant, and a kind woman brought inside the Creamery to management.Once his hair cut was done and we realized that the wallet was missing, I went to look for it. The woman who found it told me that management had it. I went inside to ask for it back. The manager told me that she couldnt give it to me, as it wasnt my wallet. Understandable, but her handling of the situation was beyond unprofessional. First of all; she wouldnt relinquish the wallet without the gentleman in question being present. As stated before, he is wheelchair bound. And he had just finished his haircut and needed to pay. Thankfully he is also fully verbal and was able to advocate that it was his wallet. *** worked with individuals before who were not so fortunate. Second, her attitude towards myself and the situation was abysmal. She immediately started escalating, saying I looked in the wallet and thats not your ID. When I stated the full name of the individual on the *** she hesitated and claimed she was too busy to deal with me, and that I had to bring the gentleman over to the business to retrieve his wallet. So I went to get him. Thankfully, the person who cut his hair was very understanding about it. When we got back to the Creamery, we were met with further pushback and excuses why I couldnt be handed the wallet. Words along the line of oh, I was gonna bring it to your house and other such lies. By this point, ** being to lose my patience and demand they just give him his wallet. To which I was told to leave. Again, Im this mans support person and now he has to leave the establishment on his own. The wallet was returned, which was the most important part. But that woman needs to be fired. I cant imagine Im the only one whos dealt with this
